Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from 70 in Clifton down to 60 at Hackettstown and Pequest. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 57.

Today we will have an increase in clouds as high pressure moves offshore. There is a slight (20%) chance of a shower in the afternoon.

A brisk southerly flow of humid air on Sunday from the high offshore. There will be a low chance of an afternoon shower then showers and thunderstorms are expected after 8 p.m.

A slow moving front will cause showers and thunderstorms with rain heavy at times on Monday and it will become even more humid with dew points rising to the mid 70s. Rainfall amounts should average between 1-2 inches.

Much of the rest of next week will be humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day mainly in the afternoon and evening.
