A strong nor’easter off the Virginia coast will move north today and then northwest toward the New Jersey coast on Sunday while slowly weakening. Periods of rain heavy at times through Sunday afternoon. Winds will gust to 45 mph today. Then slowly weaken on Sunday. Rainfall amounts will average 2-3 inches.
The weakening storm will be over our area on Monday with breezy winds and still some showers likely.
High pressure will then build into our area giving us dry and mild weather Tuesday through Friday.
