Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are milder than the last few mornings with readings ranging from 65 in Clifton down to 57 at Walpack, Sandyston and Hackettstown. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

High pressure is offshore and we will have a southwesterly flow of warm air today. There will be considerable clouds however with even a slight chance of some sprinkles.

Very warm on Friday ahead of a cold front that will come through at night accompanied by some showers.

Cooler on the weekend, we will stay dry on Saturday but it now looks that the front to our south will have a disturbance that may cause some showers Sunday afternoon and evening.

High pressure will then build into the area through the middle of next week with the coolest air of the season likely Tuesday and Wednesday.

TUESDAY – OCT 6 – Sunny and cool, highs near 60.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 7 – Sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

OUTLOOK: Generally sub-advisory levels through Tuesday but a slight chance of small craft advisories Saturday morning and again for Monday night.
