Soaking rain today and tonight with gusty winds! Quite mild on Thursday! Rather nice fall weather Friday through the weekend!


Rain is at our doorstep early this Wednesday morning and temperatures are mild ranging from the low 50s in Clifton to the mid 40s in the cooler suburbs, winds are increasing from the east.

Today will be a rainy day as a low pressure system moves into the area, the rain will be heavy at times and there is a chance of a thunderstorm.  Rain will continue into tonight and it will be quite mild and rather humid for late October as dew points reach the low 60s, there will be a continued threat of a gusty thunderstorm,  we should see an average of two inches of rain with some higher amounts possible.

We will have a chance of a shower tomorrow morning and then clearing will take place in the afternoon and temperatures will rise into the 70s.  A cold front will come through late in the day bringing in cooler weather by late tomorrow night.

Mainly dry weather Friday through Sunday, temperatures will be slightly below normal Friday and Saturday moderating to above normal levels on Sunday.  There is a low chance of a shower Sunday morning.

Next week will be mild with no significant rainfall expected.

TONIGHT – Rain possibly heavy at times with a chance of a gusty thunderstorm, quite mild with lows in the upper 50s.

THURSDAY – Mostly cloudy in the morning with a chance of a shower becoming partly sunny and quite mild in the afternoon, high in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – Sunny and cooler, high in the upper 50s.

HALLOWEEN – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning then becoming partly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Gale warning will be in effect from 2 p.m. this afternoon till 6 a.m. on Thursday for southerly winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 6-11 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisory likely for high seas on Friday with no advisories expected for the weekend.
