Partly sunny and mild today! Soaking rain on Saturday! Mainly dry with above normal temperatures next week!

Skies across the area are mostly cloudy early on this Friday morning and it is milder than the last few morning with temperatures ranging from the low 30s in Clifton down to the low 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure will be moving off the coast today but still provide us with dry and mild conditions with light winds today, some areas high temperatures will touch the 50 degree mark.

Low pressure moving into the area on Saturday will give us mainly just rain that may be heavy at times. The only frozen precipitation will be well to our north and west across the Poconos and far northwest New Jersey where some freezing rain is possible at the start. High temperatures will be in the 40s. Rainfall amounts in our area will be between 1-2 inches.

Mainly dry weather with again above normal temperatures Sunday through most of next week as the mild winter weather continues.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain mainly after 5 a.m., low in the mid 30s.

SATURDAY – JAN 25 – Rain heavy at times, high in the upper 40s, 1-2 inches of rain likely. Rain ends by 9 p.m.

SUNDAY – JAN 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – JAN 27 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY – JAN 28 – Mostly cloudy, high in the low 40s.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 29 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – JAN 30 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Easterly winds to 8 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – A small craft advisory and a gale watch has been posted effective between 6 a.m and 4 p.m. on Saturday; advisories expected to continue Saturday night through Sunday night; advisories still possible Monday and Tuesday.
