Yesterday we had snow that accumulated to 1 inch in Clifton before mixing with sleet and then just plain rain in the evening but with it we had strong winds and early this morning rare December thunder and lightning. Today the rain will taper off to showers that will end by this afternoon, still breezy but not as windy as last night.. Friday will be quiet with seasonably cool temperatures. The next storm will give us snow from around noontime to midnight on Saturday, my best guess at this time would be for a potential for about 4 inches of snow, more along the coast and less to our north and west. Colder weather Sunday into the start of the New Year.

Saturday – Snow developing by noon continuing to around midnight Saturday night, high in the mid 30s.

Monday – Partly sunny, high in the mid 30s
New Year’s Day – Mostly sunny, high in the low 30s.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, high in the low 30s.

Marine forecast: Gale warning till 4am on Friday – Today – Northwest winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 6 feet.
Outlook – Conditions lowering to below advisory levels later Friday and early Saturday but advisories or warnings may be needed for the coastal storm Saturday night with winds and seas above advisory levels into Monday..
