Cool and breezy Tuesday1

The nor-easter that gave our area rain on Sunday has moved up into Eastern Canada but the circulation around the low will keep cool weather in our area, bit windy also with partly to mostly cloudy skies with only a slight chance of an afternoon shower, high mainly in the upper 50s.

Wednesday it still will be cool with less wind, mostly cloudy again with a slight chance of a sprinkle with highs again in the upper 50s.

Thursday will be slightly milder but with a better chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, highs will reach the mid 60s.

Friday may be the best day of the week with mostly sunny skies but still on the cool side with highs in the low 60s.

The weekend for all you trailer peeps looks unsettled and cool, right now the best chance of showers will be Saturday evening into Sunday but that is far from certain right now, highs mostly in the upper 50s to around 60.

For those wondering what happened to sunny and the 70s, it appears that we will have to wait till at least the middle part of next week for the warmer weather to occur.

Marine forecast, small craft advisories through Wednesday…

Rain has tapered off but lots of clouds will remain!

The much needed rain has just about ended this morning, 2.70″ of precipitation since Saturday night according to my rain gauge. Today will remain mostly cloudy with still a low chance of a shower or two, highs in the chilly 50s.

Tuesday lots of clouds and it will stay cool with highs in the upper 50s, still a very low chance of a shower mainly in the afternoon.

Wednesday will start out dry but a chance of more showers at night into Thursday, highs Wednesday and Thursday in the low 60s.

Friday has the best chance of staying dry the whole day but still cool with highs near 60.

Next weekend looks unsettled, still below normal temperatures and chances of rain especially on Sunday..

Marine forecast, small craft advisories will probably stay up until Wednesday morning then the wind and seas should subside the rest of the week.

Heavy rain tonight into Monday morning!

Back from a nice weekend in the Poconos so for the first time since I started this website in January I missed a post yesterday

As I see on my new wonderful weather station we had showers and thunderstorms move through with the cold front after 11PM last night, winds switched to the north bringing down colder air… Today as the storm system from the south approached this area the rain began around 11:15AM, this rain will get heavier later in the day continuing overnight, precipitation amounts will be in the 2-3″ range..

Monday most of the steady rain will end by 9AM, still a chance of afternoon showers, chilly with highs only in the upper 50s..

The rest of the week will average cooler than normal with still a chance of showers especially Tuesday and Wednesday..

Another pleasant day but a strong storm is on the horizon!

The last day of the work week will be very pleasant, mostly sunny with high similar to yesterday’s around 70 degrees..

Saturday doesn’t look bad now either, there will be a chance of a daytime shower highs in the mid 70s. Most of the rain will hold off until night.

Sunday into Monday morning, most of the computer models are now having an impressive storm to move up the coast giving this area heavy rain and strong winds temperatures will cool off with most highs in the 50s..

Drying out on Tuesday with cool temperatures..

The rest of the week looks dry with seasonable temperatures, highs mostly in the 60s..

Marine forecast – light winds Friday picking up on Saturday, small craft advisories will be issued on Saturday and possible gales on Sunday into Monday…

Very Pleasant spring days today and Friday!

Well I was wrong as my wife Joan pointed out, it did rain yesterday with sprinkles and we had a shower around 1:30am that gave us a whole .05″. I thought the rain would stay south but it brushed our area, oh well can’t be right all the time..

Today the clouds and showers are moving away from us and it will be a mostly sunny day with a high near 70 degrees.

Friday another nice day to end the work week with a mostly sunny start with increasing clouds later in the day with highs in the low 70s..

Saturday the showers will move in but it looks like the morning will be dry with a high again near 70s..

Sunday showers continuing through the day, one of the computer models has the heaviest rain offshore, let see how that pans out., cooler with highs in the low 60s.

Monday cool with showers ending in the morning highs near 60s..

Warming trend towards the end of next week…

For the boaters out there the next two days will have light winds but the weekend into early next week winds and seas will increase and at least small craft advisories will be flying..
