High pressure off the New England coast will give us a light onshore flow of cool air today along with mostly sunny skies.

A disturbance on a front to our south will likely give us some well needed showers on Wednesday, temperatures will continue to be cool with a slight increase in humidity.

Thursday will be a partly sunny day but it will be breezy as Hurricane Erin makes the closest approach to our area but well out to sea.

A bit warmer Friday into the weekend but a cold front may cause some showers Sunday into Monday.

After having seven of the last eight days of 90+ weather, today will be sharply cooler with high temperatures about 20 degrees lower than yesterday as a cold front has moved to our south and we will have a brisk northerly flow of air. The humidity has also dropped with dew points in the more comfortable 50s. Skies will be mostly cloudy.

Tuesday through Thursday should be mainly dry and cool with only a slight chance (20%) of a shower on Wednesday. Hurricane Erin, which will be well off our coast, will still cause high seas with dangerous rip currents.

Warmer Friday through Sunday with a chance of showers as a cold front approaches the area.

One last day of heat and humidity today ahead of a cold front that will cross the area tonight. Skies will be mostly sunny but some showers and thunderstorms are possible this evening.

Sharply cooler and less humid on Monday as high pressure builds from the northeast and we will have a brisk onshore wind. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a low chance of some light showers. High temperatures will only be in the 70s.

The front to our south and high pressure to our north will continue an onshore flow of cool air. There will be another chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Dry and with near normal temperatures Thursday through at least the beginning of next weekend as high pressure dominates our weather.

High pressure moving off the coast will give us a warm and humid day. Skies will be mostly cloudy this morning then become mostly sunny this afternoon, a weak disturbance may cause a shower this afternoon but most places it will remain dry.

A cold front will come through our area Sunday evening preceded by a southwest flow of hot and humid air. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms as the front moves through Sunday evening.

Cooler and mainly dry weather next week with only a low chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday. Hurricane Erin is expected to remain well offshore and should cause high seas and dangerous rip currents along our coast.

High pressure will then dominate our weather much of next week with cooler temperatures and comfortable humidity. The only chance of showers will be on Wednesday.
