Yesterday we had the mildest temperature since November 18th. But a strong cold front caused temperatures to fall almost 40 degrees by midnight. The winds gusted to 54 mph at Newark!

Despite plenty of sunshine temperatures will only rise to near freezing and with a gusty northwest wind it will be quite chilly for early March. Arctic high pressure will dominate our weather

Monday will be less harsh but temperatures will still be below normal with much less wind than today as high pressure builds closer to the area.

The high will move offshore on Tuesday and temperatures will rise to above normal levels with southerly winds developing.

A strong low pressure system will give us rain heavy at times on Wednesday mainly in the afternoon and at night. Temperatures will be quite mild. Rainfall amounts will average between 1 and 1 1/2 inches.

Dry weather with temperatures slightly above normal Thursday through the start of the weekend as weak high pressure moves into our area.

Mild and breezy day today and a strong cold front will pass through our area this afternoon followed by a brisk northwest flow of Arctic air. High pressure will then build into the area for Sunday and Monday giving us dry and chilly weather.
