High pressure will be moving off the coast as a storm system approaches from the southwest. We will have an increase in clouds today with snow developing around 7 p.m. The snow may be heavy at times before mixing with sleet around midnight. Accumulations should be between 3-5 inches with higher amounts further inland.

The mixed snow and sleet should end around daybreak on Sunday followed by clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures will be seasonably cold.

High pressure will briefly move through our area on Monday with sunny skies but with cold temperatures.

A low pressure system will give us a good chance of mainly light snow Tuesday afternoon and night although some computer models now have the storm too far south to give us significant snows.

Still another low pressure system will give us snow Wednesday night possible changing to rain on Thursday.

Friday looks to be a mostly sunny and cold day.

The low pressure that gave us the winter weather yesterday is moving off the Maine coast as high pressure builds from the Great Lakes. Skies will be mostly sunny with temperatures not rising much from their present levels. Winds will gust to near 35 mph at times.

Saturday we will see an increase in clouds as a low pressure moves into our area. Snow from this system will begin around sunset on Saturday and end Sunday morning as a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain. Snowfall amounts will be 3-6 inches and a winter storm watch has been posted.

Monday high pressure will build into our area giving us a cold day but with plenty of sunshine.

Unsettled weather from Tuesday through Thursday as a couple of low pressure areas will move just to our south, giving us a good chance of snow mixing at times with sleet, freezing rain and plain rain.

A cold front will move through our area by sunrise and it will be followed by a strong northwest flow of air. Skies will become mostly sunny with some wind gusts to 35 mph. Winds will diminish by late tonight.

Wednesday should be dry during the day but a low pressure system is expected to move into the area Wednesday night with snow which will mix with sleet and freezing rain Thursday morning before changing to plain rain by noon. Accumulations should be around an inch before the changeover to rain and the Thursday morning commute may be hazardous.

Friday looks to be a mostly sunny day with temperatures a few degrees above normal.

Another disturbance will move into our area on the weekend with again snow that may begin Saturday afternoon changing to a wintery mix at night before changing to rain on Sunday.
