Showers this morning giving way to sunshine this afternoon and becoming breezy and much less humid as summer begins at 11:54 a.m.! Spectacular weather for the first weekend of summer!

Good morning!

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there is rain falling in parts of the area, temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton down to the low 60s further inland, the humidity remains high.

Low pressure moving through the area will be off the New England coast by this afternoon, showers will continue through at least 10 a.m. with some heavy downpours possible. High pressure building behind the low will cause clearing this afternoon and it will become breezy and much less humid.

High pressure will be in control of our weather this weekend giving the area mostly sunny skies both days with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity. It may be still a little breezy on Saturday with less wind on Sunday.

Warm and increasingly more humid air is expected much of next week. There will be a chance of showers Monday night through Wednesday morning as a weak front moves through the area. High pressure then should give us dry weather the rest of the week.

Good morning!

Skies are cloudy and it is quite foggy early on this Thursday morning. There are some light showers falling mainly just south of our area. Temperatures range from the low to middle 60s and the humidity continues to be very high.

Yesterday we only received .07 inches of rain in Clifton while parts of Burlington and Ocean counties had 4-6 inches of rainfall.

The front that has stayed just to our south will move north of our area as a warm front, scattered showers will accompany the front this morning. After the front passes it will become warmer and even more humid as dew points reach the oppressive low 70s. A cold front approaching from the west will pass through late tonight preceded by some showers and thunderstorms some that may be heavy.

After a chance of a morning shower Friday will become much less humid as high pressure builds in from the west. We should see more sunshine but it will be breezy with some wind gusts to 30 mph.

The first weekend of summer looks quite pleasant with plenty of sunshine both days. Temperatures will be a little below normal on Saturday but rise to above normal readings on Sunday. The humidity will be low.

Warm early next week with a chance of showers Monday into Tuesday evening although the showers and clouds should not be as widespread as what we experienced this week.

Good morning!

Another warm and muggy start on this Tuesday morning. Skies are cloudy and there are some showers in some of our western suburbs. Temperatures range from near 70 in Clifton to the low 60s further inland. Dew points are high in the upper 60s.

Unlike yesterday when we only received a few raindrops, today we will have showers and thunderstorms with some heavy downpours from late this morning into the early evening. The stationary front that was just to our south yesterday has moved over our area and a low pressure disturbance will move along the front to our area. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely.

Most of the showers and thunderstorms will end by early this evening, but we should remain humid.

Wednesday should be drier than today with only a chance of showers.

Another low pressure will be moving along the front on Thursday which will likely cause more heavy showers and thunderstorms.

We finally dry out on Friday as high pressure builds into the area, temperatures will be seasonably warm but the humidity will finally be lower.

At this point the weekend still looks good with dry conditions and seasonably warm temperatures with low humidity.

Another frontal system may cause more showers on Monday.
