NOTE: On this date 13 years ago Hurricane Irene caused massive flooding in our area with 9.27″ of rain falling on August 27th into the 28th.

High pressure over the area will give us another warm day with highs well up into the 80s, the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the mid 60s. We should stay dry with mostly sunny skies.

Wednesday may be the last very hot and humid day of the summer as a southwest flow air will cause temperatures to rise to well up into the 90s and with dew points in the low 70s will cause heat indexes to rise above 100 degrees. A heat advisory has been issued. Also there is a chance of some scattered thunderstorms that may be strong to severe mainly after 2 p.m. A cold front will come through at night.

Much cooler and drier air for Thursday, there will be a slight chance of lingering showers in the morning otherwise we should be dry.

Friday looks to be a dry day with seasonably cool temperatures.

The weather looks to be a bit unsettled for the holiday weekend, with a good chance of showers on Saturday. At this time Sunday and Labor Day look dry with near seasonable temperatures.

High pressure off the coast will give our area a southwest flow of warm air. Dew points will be in the mid 60s. A weak low pressure area will give us a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday looks to be dry and continued warm with moderate humidity levels with dew points again in the mid 60s.

A warm front will pass our area Wednesday morning followed by a cold front in the evening. The day will be very hot with highs well up into the 90s, also the dew points will rise to above 70. There will be a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Much cooler Thursday and Friday as high pressure builds into the area from the north and we will have an onshore flow of air. Highs will only be in the 70s both days.

Weather will be a little unsettled for the holiday weekend. Saturday should be cool with a chance of showers while Sunday looks dry with somewhat warmer temperatures.

High pressure will give us another warm day today with a slight increase in humidity with dew points near 60. A weak disturbance will give us a slight chance of a sprinkle or shower this afternoon mainly to our north and west.
