A low pressure system will move into our area on Saturday with showers likely, along with much cooler air.

Sunday will be milder as a warm front moves to our north followed quickly by a cold front. Showers will be likely.

Chance of morning showers on Monday followed by partial clearing and becoming cooler. Another cold front will cross the area at night but no precipitation is expected with this front.

Much cooler but dry Tuesday through Thursday as high pressure builds into our area.

A warm front will move to our north this morning accompanied by some light rain and drizzle. It will become quite mild by this afternoon despite plenty of clouds and a chance of showers.

A cold front will cross the area on Friday preceded by some early showers. During the day skies will remain mostly cloudy with still mild temperatures.

Unsettled weather for the weekend with showers likely on Saturday and a chance of showers on Sunday as a frontal system moves through the area. Saturday will be cool but it will become milder on Sunday!

A strong high pressure will be moving off the New England coast today. Skies will start off mostly sunny but we will have an increase in clouds by this afternoon. Temperatures will be cool with an onshore wind with most highs only in the 40s.

A warm front will be approaching our area tonight with a chance of showers overnight with drizzle possible Thursday morning. It will remain cloudy but warmer with highs reaching the 70s.

Showers likely early on Friday then we should be dry with mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures during the day.

A stationary front will give us unsettled weather for the weekend with showers likely especially on Saturday and then again on Sunday night as a cold front moves through the area.

Chance of showers Monday morning followed by clearing by the afternoon with cooler temperatures.

Tuesday looks to be dry and cool as high pressure builds into our area.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MARCH 2025. RECORDS STARTED IN 1973.

Clifton’s average temperature was 45.8 which was well above normal and was the 6th warmest March since my records began. The highest temperature was 82 set on the 29th, the lowest was 17 degrees on the 3rd. Precipitation totaled 4.56: which was normal for the month. Only a trace of snow fell. This March was also windy with many days with gusts over 30 mph.

The frontal system that gave us the showers and thunderstorms overnight is moving offshore as weak high pressure builds in from the northwest. We will have clearing today after early morning clouds and temperatures will be cooler with highs in the 50s which is normal for this time of year.

A cool day on Wednesday, early morning temperatures may dip below freezing then we should have and increase in clouds. With the clouds and an onshore marine flow will keep high temperatures mainly in the 40s.

A warm front will move through on Thursday possibly accompanied by some showers and followed by milder temperatures.

The weather becomes unsettled for Friday through the weekend as a front will be around our area which will cause showers at times.

A warm front is expected to move to our north this morning and winds will become southerly with temperatures rising to around 70. There will be a chance of some showers during the day. Tonight showers and thunderstorms are likely with some heavy rain possible. Rainfall amounts will average between 1-2 inches. The cold front associated with this system will move through around midnight with showers ending shortly thereafter.

Cooler and dry Tuesday through the day on Wednesday as high pressure builds to our northeast.

Another frontal system will affect our area on Thursday giving us a chance of showers and milder temperatures.
