One last day of extreme heat today ahead of a cold front. High temperatures will reach the upper 90s and with dew points near 70 the heat index will approach 105 degrees and an extreme heat warning remains in effect. We should see more cloudiness by the afternoon with a low chance of a shower and thunderstorm this afternoon .

Thursday the cold front will move into our area and we will likely have showers and a few thunderstorms, some rain may be heavy at times through Thursday evening. High temperatures will be cooler mainly in the low 80s with gradually lowering humidity.

Lingering showers on Friday and it will be unseasonably cool with a rather brisk northeast wind, highs will only be in the 70s.

Very nice weather for the weekend into at least the early part of next week with plenty of sunshine each day along with slightly cooler than average temperatures along with low humidity as Canadian high pressure moves into our area.

Looking ahead there is no sign of the return of high heat for at least the next two weeks.

Extreme heat will be with us the next two days as a strong high pressure ridge will be over us. High temperatures both days will be in the upper 90s to near 100 and with dew points in the upper 60s to near 70 will cause heat indexes to rise to around 105 degrees. A cold front approaching our area Wednesday afternoon will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly at night.

Thursday will be cooler but staying humid as the cold front slowly moves to our south. Showers and thunderstorms are likely with rain possibly heavy at times which could cause some flash flooding.

After lingering showers Friday morning it will remain mostly cloudy with quite cool temperatures as highs should only be in the 70s.

Beautiful weather for early August this weekend which will extend into early next week as we will have plenty of sunshine each day with near seasonable temperatures and very low humidity.

A warm front moving slowly into our area will give us mostly cloudy skies and it will become more humid with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, some rain may be heavy at times. With more clouds the high temperature today will be in the low-mid 80s.

Another heatwave is expected Monday through Wednesday as high pressure builds into our area. High temperatures all three days will be in the mid-upper 90s and with dew points near 70 the heat indexes will rise to near 105 degrees. The front will slowly move through the area on Thursday with cooler temperatures but a good chance of showers and thunderstorms.

A cold front is moving south of the area this morning and today will be cooler and less humid with plenty of sunshine and light winds.

The front will return as a warm front on Sunday which will likely cause showers and some thunderstorms. With the clouds high temperatures will be lower but it will be humid.

Another heat wave is expected Monday through Wednesday as high pressure builds into our area. A cold front may cause some showers Wednesday night.

The front will slowly move offshore on Thursday but there will still be a chance of showers with cooler temperatures.

High pressure will then build into the area for Friday giving us much more pleasant temperatures and humidity that should last through next weekend.
