Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are milder than the last few mornings with readings ranging from 30 in Clifton down to 18 at Sussex. Winds are light from the southwest. The air quality is good with an index of 43.

A frontal system approaching from the west will cause skies to become cloudy later this morning with some light showers likely this afternoon. Likely rainfall should be less than a tenth of an inch.

The front will come through Saturday night and colder air will slowly filter into our area on Sunday with snow developing late morning and ending around midnight. Likely accumulations of 4-8 inches, a winter storm watch is in effect.

After the storm passes we will likely have the coldest air of the season Monday through at least Thursday then moderating somewhat by Friday. We should stay mainly dry during the week but we still have to watch for possible coastal storm development Wednesday and again on Friday. Right now it looks that the two storms will stay well to our south and east.

A weak high pressure will give us a milder day today with plenty of sunshine and light winds, high temperatures will approach 40 which is about 10 degrees higher than yesterday.

A frontal system will give us mostly cloudy skies on Saturday with a good chance of light rain mainly in the afternoon.

Low pressure developing to our southeast will move off the coast on Sunday with snow likely in the afternoon and ending at night. Possible accumulations will be around 4 inches.

Arctic high pressure will then bring the coldest weather of the season so far Monday through Thursday with daytime highs struggling to reach the 20 degree mark and overnight lows in the single digits. It should remain dry throughout this period. Winds will be breezy, but not as windy as we experienced last week.

High pressure will be moving offshore as a weak warm front approaches from the west. We should see an increase in clouds today with a chance of flurries this afternoon and tonight. With the clouds, the high temperature will be similar to yesterday but with much less wind.

Friday should be the nicest day of the week with temperatures a little above normal along with sunny skies and light winds.

Saturday will be mild again but with a chance of rain mainly in the afternoon as a cold front approaches the area from the west.

The cold front will cross the area sometime on Sunday and it may be accompanied by some light snow Sunday afternoon and evening.

Dry and we will likely have the coldest air of the season so far as an Arctic high pressure builds into the area. High temperatures will be in the 20s on Monday but be in the teens Tuesday and Wednesday with overnight lows near zero.

Low pressure off the Canadian Maritimes along with high pressure to our west will combine to give us a brisk northwest flow of cold and dry air today. Highs will be around freezing and with winds gusting to 30 mph will cause wind chills to be in the teens much of today despite plenty of sunshine.

Thursday will be another cold day but we should see an increase in clouds and perhaps some snow flurries in the afternoon and evening.

Friday looks to be the best day of the upcoming few days with plenty of sunshine, light winds and milder temperatures.

Saturday a cold front will cross our area at night, preceded by some rain showers in the afternoon and evening, highs will be in the 40s.

An Artic cold front will come through Sunday night, possibly accompanied by snow in the evening into early Monday morning.

Perhaps the coldest air of the season Monday and Tuesday as Arctic air will dominate our weather.

Today will be colder as an Arctic high pressure moves into the area. There will be an increase in clouds and can’t rule out a snow flurry or two. Winds will pick up from the west-northwest and gust to near 30 mph. High temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark.

Cold high pressure will dominate our weather Wednesday and Thursday along with sunny skies. Winds will still be gusty on Wednesday but diminish on Thursday.

As the high pressure moves offshore we will have milder air on Friday along with continued mostly sunny skies.

A cold front will cross the area Saturday night likely giving us some showers Saturday afternoon, temperatures in the low-mid 40s.

Partial clearing during the day on Sunday along with near seasonable temperatures.

A possible coastal storm may brush the area Sunday night into Monday.
