Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures are mild ranging from the low 40s in Clifton to the low 30s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Another storm system will affect the area today as a low pressure moves up the coast;  rain should develop by noon and become heavy at times ending around midnight.  Rainfall amounts will average between 1-2 inches and a flash flood watch is in effect.   Easterly winds will become gusty by this afternoon.   The rain may end as a period of snow well inland.

Tomorrow will be cooler and windy but we should see some sunshine.

Dry and chilly weather is expected to continue Wednesday through the day on Friday but a weak disturbance may give us a shower Friday night.

After a dry Saturday a stronger system will give a good chance of rain on Saturday night into Sunday.

Rain has ended and we have mostly cloudy skies early on this Sunday morning. Temperatures are mild ranging from the mid 40s in Clifton down to the upper 30s further inland, winds are from the north around 10 mph.   Rainfall in Clifton totaled 1.65″.

The storm that caused the heavy rain last night will be moving northeast of Long Island and out to sea as weak high pressure builds from the south, Sunshine will return today and after having the Arctic blast Thursday and Friday and then stormy weather last night today will be quite pleasant with temperatures reaching the 50s.

Another storm is expected to move up the coast and spread rain from mid morning on Monday through the evening, this storm will not be as strong as last night’s with rainfall amounts expected to be between 1/2 to 1 inch.  Temperatures will be mild so all the precipitation will fall as rain.

Dry weather Tuesday through Saturday but it will be on the chilly side with temperatures averaging around 5 degrees below normal.

Skies across the area have become mostly cloudy and temperatures are nearly 15 degrees warmer than this time yesterday, ranging from the upper 20s in Clifton down to the upper teens further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A low pressure developing over the southeast states will move into the area by this afternoon, rain from this system will begin mainly after 4 p.m., well inland the precipitation may fall as some freezing rain then change to plain rain.   Rain will be heavy at times especially between 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. Sunday morning.  Rainfall amounts will average between 1-2 inches.

Dry and pleasant weather for Sunday and temperatures may actually be a little above normal,  which will feel warm after our impressive Arctic blast of the last couple of days.

Another low pressure will give us rain on Monday, rainfall amounts will average around 1/2 of an inch.

Dry weather Tuesday through the rest of the week, it will be chilly but instead of temperatures being 25 degrees below normal this time the readings will be around 5-10 degrees below average.

Record cold temperatures this morning as the 11 degrees now in Clifton is the lowest November reading since my records began 45 years ago.  Temperatures inland have dropped to the single digits with the coldest in the state now is at High Point with a reading of 3 degrees.   Winds are light and the skies are clear.  Also the 11 degree reading here is the coldest temperatures since January 14th.

Arctic high pressure that is over the area now will be slowly moving offshore and a light southwest flow will develop. Despite plenty of sunshine daytime highs will struggle to reach the freezing mark. The normal high for November 23rd is 50 degrees so we will be almost 20 degrees below normal.

We should see an increase in clouds tonight ; it will not be as cold and temperatures may slightly rise during the night.

Much milder on Saturday but a low pressure will move through the area producing rain from the afternoon into early Sunday morning, rainfall amounts will be around 1 inch.

Sunday will actually be a very nice fall day with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 50s.

Another low pressure area moving into the area will cause more rain on Monday with another inch of rain possible.

Dry weather Tuesday through the end of next week but temperatures will again be cooler than normal but not nearly as frigid as what we are experiencing now.

Skies are clear early on this Thanksgiving morning and temperatures are unseasonably cold with readings ranging from the upper teens in Clifton down to around 10 at High Point, winds are gusty out of the northwest.  Wind chill values are in the single digits.

Arctic high pressure will build down from Canada and give us a windy and unseasonably cold Thanksgiving despite plenty of sunshine, high temperatures will only reach the 20s and with gusty winds it will feel much colder.

Winds will diminish tonight and with clear skies temperatures are likely to drop to near 10 in Clifton down to the single digits inland.  During the day on Friday it still will be quite cold with highs only around freezing however the winds will stay light and there will again be plenty of sunshine.

Much milder on Saturday but a low pressure will cause some rain mainly from late afternoon through the night with 1 to 1 1/2 inches expected.

Sunday may turn out to be a very nice day with skies becoming mostly sunny and highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Another disturbance may cause some more rain on Monday, temperatures will continue to be mild.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be colder and windy with slight chance of an occasional snow or rain shower on Tuesday.
