Hot again today with moderate humidity and a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm! Great weather for Independance Day!


MONDAY  JULY 3, 2017  5:42 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from around 70 in the Clifton area to near 60 further inland, winds are light and the humidity is moderate.

Today we should have mostly sunny skies this morning and partly sunny skies this afternoon with a chance of a thunderstorm ahead of a cold front.  Humidity levels will be moderate with dew points mostly in the low to mid 60s.

High pressure building down from the Great Lakes will provide us with very pleasant weather for tomorrow with plenty of sunshine and with comfortable temperatures and humidity.

The nice early July weather will continue on Wednesday through the day on Thursday.

Unsettled weather from Thursday night through early Saturday as a front moves into the area, humidity levels will rise during this period along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms with the best chance of rain will be on Friday.

High pressure building in will give us pleasant weather from Saturday afternoon into Sunday with again comfortable temperatures and humidity levels.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and it is still rather warm and humid with temperatures ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland where there is some patchy dense fog.

Today we should see plenty of sunshine along with slightly lower humidity as dew points drop from the oppresive 70s down to a more tollerable 60s today.

Monday will be hot again with moderate humidity and as a weak cold front comes through we will have a low chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

Fantastic weather for the 4th of July with seasonably warm tempertures and low humidity, this nice weather should extend into Wednesday.

A front may give us some showers on Thursday followed by mainly dry and seasonably warm temperatures Friday into next weekend.

JUNE 2017  CLIMATE SUMMARY:

June averaged around 1 degree above normal.  The highest temperature 97 degrees on the 13th and the lowest was a chilly 50 degrees on the 7th.   Precipitation was slightly below normal in the Clifton area with 3.04 inches falling although many parts of Northern New Jersey received more rainfall.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are warm again with readings ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light and the humidity is high as dew points are near 70 degrees.

Today we will have a mix of clouds and sun and it will be warm and humid, there is a small chance of a shower this morning as some rain is now moving through central New Jersey that may move into parts of the area.  Showers and thunderstorms,  some that may be heavy are likely late this afternoon and evening as a cold front  approaches the area.

The front will pass through on Sunday morning and it will  become mostly sunny during the day; it will be hot but less humid by the afternoon.

Monday will be quite warm again but there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Mostly sunny on Independance Day and on Wednesday with seasonably warm temperatures and lower humidity.

Another frontal system may give us showers Thursday into Friday.

Today will be a quite warm and humid day, most of the day will be dry but there is a chance of an afternoon or evening shower.

More clouds on Saturday as a weak front approaches the area, it will still be quite humid and showers and thunderstorms are likely especially in the late afternoon into Saturday night, temperature will be slightly lower due to the cloud cover.

More sunshine on Sunday with hot temperatures, there still will be a low chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

Seasonably warm but with lower humidity and dry condtions Monday through Wednesday.  Showers are possible on Thursday as another front approaches the area.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are not as cool as yesterday morning as readings range from the mid 60s in the Clifton area to the mid 50s further inland, winds are light and the humidity remains low.

Today we will have a mix of sun and clouds with warmer temperatures, humidity levels will still be on the low side during he day but increase tonight.  Winds will be gusty this afternoon out of the southwest.

A Bermuda high pressure will be in control of our weather on Friday with hot and humid conditions but we should see no rain.

Saturday and Sunday will continue to be warm and humid but a weak cold front will give us a low chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly from Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.

Warm but less humid Monday through Independance Day with only a low chance of showers at night on the 4th.
