Heatwave to continue today and tomorrow! Refreshing summer weather Wednesday through the start of the weekend!


After have the hottest day in two years yesterday this morning is starting off very warm with readings in the upper 70s here in Clifton ranging down to the low 70s further inland, skies are mostly cloudy and the winds are calm.

After some morning clouds we will have plenty of sunshine today and temperatures will once again reach the mid 90s, humidity levels may be a tad lower than yesterday by this afternoon.  There is only a slight chance of a afternoon or evening thunderstorm.

Another hot day on Tuesday but again with slightly lower humidity, and also there is only a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm.

A cold front will cross the area on Tuesday night bringing an end to our heatwave with very pleasant summer weather expected Wednesday through at least the start of the weekend, we should have plenty of sunshine each day with low humidity.

Skies are partly cloudy early this Sunday morning and it is quite warm and humid, temperatures range from the low 70s here in Clifton to the mid-upper 60s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today should be the hottest day of the summer so far with temperatures reaching the mid 90s and with dew points in the low 70s will push the heat index over 100, a heat advisory is in effect for the area.

A weak cold front will cross the area on Monday morning with a low chance of some showers and thunderstorms, the air behind the front is still hot but a little less humid.

Still hot on Tuesday but a stronger cold front will move through the area on Tuesday night with only a slight chance of thunderstorm activity.

More seasonable temperatures with lower humidity Wednesday extended to at least the beginning of next weekend, we will have plenty of sunshine each day, resulting in rather pleasant summer weather through this period.

Warmer and more humid today with a chance of showers! Hottest day of the summer so far on Sunday!


We have cloudy skies early this Saturday morning it is warmer than the last couple of morning with readings ranging from the low 70s here in Clifton to the upper 60s inland,  there is a light breeze and the humidity levels are moderate with dew points mainly in the low to mid 60s.  There are some showers falling across northern Passaic County as well as Eastern Pennsylvania.

Today will be quite warm with increasing humidity, skies will be mostly cloudy, there is a chance of a morning shower but a better chance of some thunderstorms later this afternoon and this evening.

Sunday will likely will be the hottest day of the summer so far with temperatures reaching the mid 90s, along with high humidity as dew points move up to the oppressive low 70s, the heat index could approach 100 degrees.  The day should stay dry but showers and thunderstorms may affect the area late at night.

A front moving through the area will cause a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday especially in the morning,  it will be hot once again but humidity levels should lower late in the day.

Plenty of sunshine Tuesday through Friday with quite warm temperatures but with only moderate humidity.

Another cool morning on this Friday with temperatures ranging from around 60 degrees in the Clifton area to some low 50s further inland,  skies are clear and the winds are calm.

Another pleasant day today with plenty of sunshine and seasonably cool temperatures.

A warm front will be moving through the area on Saturday morning resulting in chance of some morning showers followed by warmer temperatures and increasing humidity, some scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms may occur but most of the day will be dry.

It appears that Sunday will be the hottest day of the year so far with temperatures reaching the low-mid 90s along with high humidity, no showers are expected.

A cold front will be approaching on Monday with thunderstorms likely, some storms may be accompanied by drenching downpours, it will continue to be hot and humid.

Dry and less humid Tuesday through Thursday, temperatures will continue though to be quite warm.

Very pleasant summer weather today and on Friday! Warmer and more humid over the weekend with some scattered showers!


What a difference a day makes as this morning we are enjoying cool temperatures ranging from near 60 degrees here in Clifton to near 50 in the colder inland areas, the humidity is very low and there is a nice breeze along with clear skies.

The anticipated showers and thunderstorms did not occur in the Clifton area as we had no rain at all yesterday while parts of Southern New Jersey received a few inches.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine as a high pressure moves into the area, temperatures will be a little below normal but the humidity will be much lower with dew points only in the 40s which is quite rare for the middle of July.

More sunshine with comfortable temperatures on Friday, the humidity will slowly rise at night.

Warmer and more humid on Saturday, there is a chance of showers early in the morning and then more showers and thunderstorms are possible in the late afternoon and evening.

Quite warm and humid on Sunday with more afternoon and evening showers possible.

The warmth and humidity will continue on Monday with a better chance of some storms as a cold front approaches the area. This front will move through early Tuesday morning with somewhat cooler and less humid air during the day on Tuesday through Wednesday.
