Back to the heat!


After having a nice break with cool temperatures and gusty winds the heat that has roasted the middle part of the country will be moving east and will be with us the next several days.

Today we will have sunny skies with temperatures rising to near 90 degrees, the humidity will not be that bad.

Tonight partly cloudy becoming more humid and there is a chance of an early morning thunderstorm as a warm front moves through, lows near 70.

Friday after that possible early thunderstorm it will become mostly sunny with quickly rising temperatures reaching at least the upper 90s with 100 degrees not out of reach.

Great beach weather this weekend with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 90s, moderately humid..

Monday mostly sunny and continued hot with highs in the low 90s.

Tuesday and Independence Day mostly sunny with highs near 90 degrees.

Warm, hot, then even hotter!


Yesterday was such a pleasant day , cool with low humidity and gusty winds more like September weather, don’t expect weather like yesterday anytime soon as another heat wave is on the way.

Today will be warmer with temperatures reaching the low to mid 80s with plenty of sunshine, still a nice breeze but not as windy as yesterday.

Tonight will be clear with lows in the low 60s.

Thursday will be sunny and hot but not too humid yet with highs near 90.

Friday, mostly sunny and even hotter with highs in the upper 90s, the humidity will not be that bad yet.

Saturday and Sunday, mostly sunny hot and more humid with most high temperatures in the mid 90s.

Monday a little less hot with highs in the upper 80s, partly sunny..

Tuesday into Independence Day, mostly sunny and warm with highs mainly in the upper 80s.

Marine forecast: Northwest wind to 20 knots, seas 2-3 feet. Sub advisory levels through at least the early part of next week.

Refreshingly cool Tuesday!


A nice break from the heat and humidity as this morning the temperatures are in the cool 50s with a nice breeze and lower humidity, however warmer weather is on the horizon.

Today will be partly to mostly sunny, puffy cumulus clouds will increase somewhat later this morning and there is a slight chance of a shower from these passing clouds, highs in the upper 70s.

Tonight mostly clear and cool with lows in the upper 50s.

Wednesday, partly to mostly sunny, warmer but still comfortable humidity levels, highs in the low to mid 80s.

Thursday, sunny and warmer with highs in the upper 80s.

Friday a warm front will cross the area with more humidity and temperatures rising to the low 90s.

Saturday, partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, highs in the low to mid 90s.

Woke up this morning to the sound of thunder!


Some people probably didn’t need an alarm to wake up this morning as an area of thunderstorms moved through shortly before 7am. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of this area till 2PM and scattered thunderstorms will occur with the approach of a cold front that will slide through in the early afternoon, highs will be in the upper 70s.

Tonight we will have a chance of a shower till around 10pm, cooler and less humid with lows dropping into the upper 50s.

Tuesday, mostly sunny and pleasant with a chance of a passing shower in the afternoon, highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Wednesday, mostly sunny, little warmer with highs in the mid 80s.

Thursday, mostly sunny and warmer still with highs in the upper 80s.

Friday, mostly sunny, hot with increasing humidity and a chance of a thunderstorm, highs in the lower 90s.

Weekend looks quite warm with highs near 90. Mostly sunny for the most part but can’t rule out a passing thunderstorm especially on Saturday.

Timing could not have been better as we are enjoying a warm and dry weekend sandwiched between rain events.

Today we will have mostly sunny skies with warm temperatures but still comfortable humidity, highs in the mid to the upper 80s.

Tonight increasing cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms developing, mostly after 2am, lows in the mid 60s.

Monday, showers and thunderstorms are almost certain to occur, mostly before 5pm, with the clouds highs will only be in the upper 70s.

Tuesday, becoming mostly sunny and less humid, still a slight chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm, highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Wednesday, mostly sunny, highs around 80.

Thursday, mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Warmer on Friday with highs in the upper 80s.

Yesterday I wrote that there was no heat wave in sight, however latest indications are showing more heat by next weekend with highs back in the 90s with higher humidity.
