Mid April weather in February!


The weather will be more like the middle of April with very mild days and nights along with the chance of showers the next three days..

Today, will be be quite nice but breezy with highs in the upper 50s.

Tonight into Thursday morning there is a chance of light showers the lows will not go below 40 degrees..

Thursday the showers will end and there will be some clearing but cloudy skies will quickly develop in the afternoon, highs still in the mild 50s..

Thursday night into Friday rain is more likely with as a more potent storm moves in, depending on the track we could have a very windy afternoon with wind gusts approaching 50 MPH. Lows Thursday night in the mild 40s and highs Friday near 60. The cold front associated with the storm will move through Friday night with the very mild weather ending..

Saturday, windy with early showers then clearing, highs drop down to the 40s..

Sunday and Monday dry with highs in the 40s, still above normal for this time of year..

Today will start out partly sunny but it will cloud up later with a short and small chance of showers later in the day and evening. Highs a couple of degrees higher in the upper 40s.

Wednesday the temperature will rise into the 50s and again with a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening..

Thursday still a chance of showers throughout the day with highs in the 50s.

Friday is the best likelihood of rain as a storm develops to our west, highs approaching 60 degrees.

Saturday will be cooler with clearing, quite windy, highs will drop down to the 40s.

Sunday dry with less wind, highs in the 40s.

No cold air in sight as we move into March…

Mild week ahead!


Today the weather will be similar to yesterday in temperatures, however it will be a bit more breezy, highs in the mid to upper 40s..

Tuesday will start off dry but clouds will increase and there is a chance of rain in the late afternoon and a better chance in the evening, highs in the upper 40s.

Wednesday through Friday will be very mild with highs in the mid to upper 50s, the best chance of rain will by on Friday.

Weekend it will be cooler but still no really cold air in site as we approach the end of February!

The storm that we have been tracking the last several days is moving well to our south giving areas around the Virginia and North Carolina border some snow. Here it will be partly to mostly day with highs still above normal in the mid to upper 40s..

Tomorrow will have a brisk north wind especially in the morning but not a frigid wind as the February sun will again boast temps. to the upper 40s.

Tuesday will start out dry but there is a weak system moving through that will give us a chance of rain showers Tuesday late afternoon into Wednesday morning. Now well inland some of the rain will be snow showers that may whiten the ground.

Wednesday will be quite mild with clearing skies with highs in the mid 50s to even around 60 degrees.

Another chance of rain on Thursday, high around 50..

So far this far out it looks cooler but dry from Friday through next weekend with highs in the low 40s..

No skewering for me…. yippee…

Storm stays well south, mild week ahead again!


Well the storm that at one point would give us some winter weather on Sunday will stay well to our south giving snow to the hills of western Virginia and West Virginia but nothing in our area..

Today will be mild with a high near 50.. Increasing cloudiness this afternoon and with a weak cold front moving through this evening there is a low chance of some mainly rain showers.

Sunday will be cooler with the highs in the 40s but with no precipitation.

Monday and Tuesday will have readings in the 40s with dry conditions.

Back to highs in the 50s Wednesday through Friday with a low chance of showers each day.
