CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR MAY 21ST:

Yesterday we received less than the 1-2 inches forecasted as the heaviest rain remained to our east.

The frontal system that gave us the rain on Saturday is moving offshore as high pressure builds from the mid-west today and we should have a very pleasant spring day with plenty of sunshine, mild temperatures and lower humidity.

Much or all of this week will be dry. A couple of weak cold fronts will pass through the area, one on Monday night and then another Wednesday night.

The forecast for the holiday weekend looks uncertain as some computer models have an offshore low pressure moving into the area on Saturday. At this point we will forecast a slight chance of showers on Saturday with clearing and milder weather for Sunday and Memorial Day but that will probably change.
