Skies are clear early on this Friday morning and we are having the coldest temperature in Clifton since April 18th. Readings ranging from 44 in Clifton down to a cold 28 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light north-northeasterly. No frost in the Clifton area but some frost and freezes over the inland areas. The air quality is good with an index of 36.

Strong high pressure over our area today will give us a sunny and cool day with much less wind than yesterday.
The high will move offshore on Saturday as a developing low pressure approaches from the south. Skies will be mostly cloudy and it will not be as cool. There is a slight chance of some light rain and drizzle but most areas will remain dry.
A strong coastal storm will affect our area Sunday and Monday giving us strong winds and heavy rain. Gusts may approach 35 mph in Clifton but up to 60 mph along the coast which will cause moderate to major coastal flooding. Rainfall amounts will average between 1 1/2 to 3 inches.
The storm will weaken on Tuesday and move offshore and we will have clearing with near normal temperatures which will extend into Wednesday.
A cooler airmass is expected for Thursday and Friday along with mostly sunny skies both days.
