High pressure is off the coast as a low pressure system slowly moves toward our area from the south and west. We should stay dry this morning but rain will develop this afternoon and continue through Thursday morning. Temperatures will not rise much due to the clouds and an onshore wind with most highs in the 60s. Rainfall amounts will average between 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch.

Thursday there still will be a chance of showers but we may have some breaks of sunshine in the afternoon, temperatures will be a little higher.

Mainly dry Thursday night into the day on Friday but another low pressure system will give us rain Friday night into Saturday.

We dry out on Sunday and remain dry through at least early next week as high pressure slowly build into our area.

Looking further ahead Wednesday through next weekend looks to be quite warm to hot.

High pressure will be moving off the coast today as a frontal system slowly approaches our area from the west. We will have an increase in high clouds with mild temperatures and light winds.

The frontal system will move into our area on Wednesday giving us a chance of showers in the afternoon becoming more likely at night. With the clouds and onshore wind high temperatures will only be in the low to mid 60s.

A series of fronts will continue to give us a chance of showers Thursday through Saturday, high temperatures will be milder.

Dry weather with near to slightly above normal temperatures Sunday into Monday as high pressure builds into our area.

Looking further ahead it still appears the the rest of next week will be quite warm.

The low pressure off the Canadian Maritimes that gave us considerable clouds over the weekend is moving further away today as high pressure builds into our area. Today will be a sunny day with near normal temperatures and light winds.

Tuesday will be mainly dry with near normal temperatures again but we should see an increase in clouds by evening as a low pressure system approaches.

Wednesday will be a cloudy and cool day with showers likely as the low pressure system moves into the area.

Not as cool on Thursday but there still will be a chance of showers with possibly some thunderstorms.

Dry on Friday but a cold front will possibly cause some showers on Saturday followed by dry with seasonably mild temperatures for Sunday.

Looking further ahead it looks like summer like weather much of next week with highs each day in the 80s.

The low pressure system that has been giving us the wind and some showers is weakening and moving further off the New England coast as high pressure builds from the northwest. Today will be pleasantly mild and most of the time it will be mostly sunny but some clouds may build in the afternoon with only a slight chance of some sprinkles mainly over inland areas.

The high pressure will then move closer to us on Memorial Day and we will have mostly sunny skies with near normal temperatures.

Tuesday we will have an increase in clouds as the high moves offshore and a disturbance to our west approaches our area. Temperatures will continue to be seasonable mild.

A series of disturbances will give our area a chance of showers Wednesday through next weekend. Temperatures will be a bit below normal Wednesday and Thursday then become milder Friday through next weekend and also becoming more humid.

Low pressure off the Maine coast as high pressure builds from the upper plains states will give us a brisk westerly flow of cool air. Skies will start off mostly sunny but we should see more clouds in the afternoon with a chance of isolated showers.

Not as cool on Sunday as the low pressure moves further away and high pressure builds closer to our area. Again skies will start off mostly sunny then become mostly cloudy in the afternoon with only a slight chance of a shower.

Memorial Day will be quite nice with plenty of sunshine and near normal temperatures as the high pressure builds into our area.

Tuesday will be dry with again near normal temperatures as the high pressure will be over our area.

A weak disturbance may touch off some showers Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday will be cooler with an onshore flow but we should have warmer weather by Friday that should extend into next weekend.
