A warm front will pass to our north this morning, early morning clouds and drizzle will make way to mostly sunny skies by late morning and after a cool day yesterday today will be much warmer with continued high humidity. There will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday will be hot and humid but we should remain dry.

Friday may be the hottest day of this week with temperatures in the 90s with high humidity and a chance of an afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorm.

The weekend weather looks to be unsettled with showers likely both days, temperatures near 90 on Saturday will drop somewhat to highs in the mid 80s on Sunday. A slow moving cold front will be in our area.

Monday looks to be a seasonably warm but a little less humid with still a chance of an afternoon shower.

Tuesday looks to be a little warmer but at this time it looks to stay dry as a high pressure ridge moves into our area.

Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some showers over northwestern sections of New Jersey. Temperatures are mainly in the mid to upper 60s across the area.

Yesterday we had flash flood and thunderstorm watches for our area but the severe weather bypassed Clifton as only .32″ fell mainly in early morning thunderstorms. However flooding rains occurred north of us with over 3 inches of rain reported in Ringwood and Oak Ridge and there was even a tornado warning for the Wanaque area. Even more severe flooding rains were in the Burlington county area with reports of more than 7′ of rain fell mainly in just 2-3 hours.

Today’s weather will be much quieter with only a low chance of a shower. With more clouds and an onshore wind high temperatures today will only reach around 80 degrees.

The front to our south will move to our north on Wednesday bringing back warmer and more humid air along with mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday will be hot but with slightly less humid air and it is the only day with no rain expected this week.

Unsettled weather Friday through the weekend with showers and thunderstorms possible each day. High temperatures should be near 90 on Saturday but only in the mid 80s on Sunday.

Today will be quite warm and humid as a front will be in our area. Showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly this afternoon and tonight. Rain may be heavy at times and there is a flash flood watch in effect for possibly 1-3 inches of rain.

The front will move to our south on Tuesday and it will not be as warm but it should remain humid with an onshore flow. There is a chance of showers mainly in the morning.

Showers and thunderstorms will again be likely on Wednesday as the front moves to our north. Temperatures will be higher and it will remain humid.

Thursday looks to be the only day without a chance of rain, temperatures will become hot and the humidity will remain high.

Quite warm and humid Friday through the weekend as the Bermuda high moves offshore and a cold front approaches from the west. There will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms each day.

A weak warm front approaching from the southwest will give us mostly cloudy skies today along with a chance of mainly light showers, temperatures will be slightly below normal with highs in the low 80s.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Monday as the front moves closer to our area, some of the rain may be heavy at times. Temperatures will be near seasonable levels but the humidity will be high with dew points in the 70s.

The warm front will struggle to pass through the area on Tuesday with still a chance of showers, temperatures with an onshore wind will be slightly below normal.

Finally a quiet weather day today after our tropical storm and severe weather of the past few days, as high pressure builds into the area. Temperatures today will be slightly below normal with moderate humidity with dew points in the 60s. There is a slight chance of an afternoon shower but most areas will remain dry.

A better chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday as a warm front approaches our area, temperatures will continue to be slightly cooler than normal but the humidity will start to rise.

The warm front will move to our north on Tuesday with a continued good chance of showers and thunderstorms along this front. Temperatures and humidity will start to rise.

Hot weather the rest of the week as the Bermuda high pressure dominates our weather, although temperatures will not be as high as some of the heatwaves we have had this summer. With high humidity there will be a chance of mainly afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms each day.
