Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are more than 10 degrees higher than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the upper 50s in Clifton down to the upper 30s well inland, winds are mainly calm or light northwesterly.

Today will be a warmer day & skies will be mostly sunny, although there will be some smoke from the western fires this morning but should clear out by this afternoon. It will be a little breezy due to the pressure gradient between high pressure over the southeast states combined with post-tropical storm Teddy moving through the Canadian Maritimes.

Comfortably warm conditions will continue Thursday and Friday along with mostly sunny skies both days.

The upcoming weekend will be warm and increasingly humid, Saturday will be dry but showers are possible Sunday afternoon and at night.

Occasional showers possible Monday and Tuesday with continued above normal temperatures.

A strong cold front is expected Tuesday night followed by much cooler air for the rest of next week.

After a another cool start temperatures will moderate today as highs will be closer to normal in the low 70s. Skies will be mostly sunny but may be filtered by some smoke from the western fires. It will become breezy this afternoon as the pressure gradient from the high over the Tennessee valley combines with Hurricane Teddy that is moving well offshore.

After having mid October type weather the last few days temperatures will rise to above normal levels Wednesday through the weekend. We should stay dry but some rain is possible Sunday night into Monday as a front approaches the area along with some of the remains of Tropical Storm Beta.

TROPICS: Hurricane Teddy is now about 465 miles south of Nova Scotia with top winds of 100 mph. Teddy is expected to reach the Canadian Maritime region tomorrow. High seas will continue for our coastal areas through Wednesday.

Another crisp and cool day despite plenty of sunshine as strong high pressure continues over the northeast part of the country.

Tomorrow will start off chilly but we should see a moderation in temperatures in the afternoon as highs reach the low 70s.

We have not had any measurable rain since September 10th and dry weather is expected the rest of the week into the weekend as high pressure moves to our south. Temperatures will rise to above normal readings by Wednesday and continue through next weekend.

The large high pressure area over the northeast will continue our sunny weather with cool temperatures today and on Monday.

Dry weather is expected the rest of the week. After a chilly Tuesday morning, temperatures will moderate to near normal temperatures Tuesday afternoon. Above normal temperatures are then expected Wednesday through at least the beginning of next weekend.

Strong high pressure will be over the northeast this weekend with plenty of sunshine both days and unseasonably cool temperatures. With clear skies tonight and Sunday night there may be some frost across northwestern part of the state.

Dry weather to continue most if not all of next week. Monday will still be unseasonably cool but become milder by Tuesday afternoon. It will become warmer Wednesday and Thursday with highs both days near 80. A weak cold front may bring slightly cooler weather on Friday.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely to continue Monday night through Wednesday due to high seas and swells from Hurricane Teddy that is a major storm well out in the Atlantic.

TROPICS: Three storms were named yesterday and now we are in the Greek Alphabet with Tropical storm Beta off the Texas coast. The only storm that will indirectly affect our area is Hurricane Teddy with top winds of 125 mph. Teddy is expected to move near Bermuda and then into the Canadian Maritime region early next week. High swells with some coastal flooding is expected along our coast.
