Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and once again it is warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from around 70 in Clifton to near 60 in parts of far northwest New Jersey, the humidity is high and there is fog in most of the area.

Yesterday I received 2.82 inches of rain, more rain fell just to our east with flooding in parts of Bergen, Essex and Hudson counties where up to 4 inches of rain fell.

A warm front has moved to our north overnight and today will be a mostly cloudy day with warm temperatures and high humidity as dew points rise to the oppressive low 70s.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely with some of the storms may be accompanied by strong gusty winds and heavy rain.   A cold front will cross the area at night.

Thursday will be much cooler and drier but a weak disturbance may cause some light rain at night into early Friday morning.

Very nice early fall weather for the weekend with dry conditions and seasonably mild temperatures.

Pleasant weather is expected to continue into early next week and temperatures should be above normal for the first few days of October.

Light rain is falling in most of the area early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the mid 50s in Clifton to the low 50s further inland, winds are from the east.

A warm front approaching our area from the south and west will cause rain this morning tapering off to showers this afternoon, the rain may be heavy at times, tempertures will rise into the low 70s and the humidity will also rise with dew points around 70 by tonight.

The warm front will push to our north tonight and there may be a break in the precipitation on Wednesday morning, however a cold front will be approaching the area and pass through at night, the front may be preceded by some strong to severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.  High temperatures will rise into the 80s and with dew points in the low 70s will make tomorrow feel rather uncomfortable.

Cooler and drier air will move into the area on Thursday, there may be a shower at night as a weak disturbance moves along the front to our south.

Friday will be seasonable mild and dry as high pressure builds into the area.

It still looks like the weekend with be pleasant and dry with seasonably mild temperatures.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the upper 50s in Clifton down to some upper 40s further inland, winds are light northerly.

High pressure will build down from the north and we will have an easterly flow of cool air today under partly sunny skies, onshore winds will increase especially along the coast.

A warm front will slowly approach the area on Tuesday with rain beginning before daybreak with periods of rain heavy at times through the day and night.  Around 1 inch of rain is possible.

Warm and humid weather is likely on Wednesday as the warm front moves to our north.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely ahead of a cold front that will pass through at night.

The front will only moves slowly to our south on Thursday and a weak disturbance may give the area some light showers Thursday night into Friday morning.

The weekend at this point is expected to be dry with temperatures near or slightly above normal.

Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and some sprinkles or light rain is falling in parts of the inland areas.  Temperatures are cool with readings ranging from the upper 50s in Clifton down to the low 50s further inland, although it is much cooler than this time yesterday these temperatures are still a little above normal for this time of year.

A weak disturbance will cause some sprinkles this morning but then we should stay dry throughout the day but it will be mostly cloudy and cool with highs in the 60s.  Rain is more likely across southern New Jersey were up to a half of inch of rain is possible.

Monday should be a dry day but rain will develop after midnight as a warm front approaches the area.

Periods of rain will continue on Tuesday as the warm front crosses our area, it will become more humid at night.

Wednesday will be warmer and humid with showers likely as a cold front approaches the area and moves off the coast at night.

Some lingering showers Thursday morning followed by clearing skies during the afternoon.

Another disturbance may touch off some rain on Friday.

At this point next weekend looks to be dry with seasonably mild temperatures.

We have mostly cloudy skies early on this last morning of summer and temperatures are summerlike with readings ranging from the low 70s in Clifton to the upper 60s further inland.  The humidity is also high with dew points near 70.

A cold front will cross the area this morning and it will come through dry.  After the frontal passage it will become much less humid with dew points dropping to the comfortable 40s.  High temperatures will rise only a couple of degrees reaching the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies.

Autumn arrives at 9:54 p.m. tonight and overnight temperatures will fall into the mid 50s in the Clifton area down to some 40s further inland, these temperatures are actually normal for this time of year.  This will be a refreshing change from the humid weather of most of the summer.

High pressure building into the area will give us comfortably cool and dry weather for Sunday and Monday.

A warm front will be approaching the area Monday night and Tuesday with rain likely.  Wednesday will be warm and humid again with showers and thunderstorms likely.  A cold front is expected to cross the area Wednesday night.

Unsettled weather Thursday and Friday as the front moves only slowly to our south.
