Good morning everyone!   Skies have become cloudy over the region early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton to the low 20s further inland, there are some scattered snow showers inland, winds are light southwesterly.

A weak warm front will pass through the area this morning giving us a chance of snow showers this morning, little or no accumulation is expected.  Temperatures moderate into the 50s by this afternoon.   There is a chance of rain showers as a weak cold front passes through.  Although there is a chance of showers, most of the day should remain dry.

A low pressure area will move mainly south of the area on Saturday, there is a chance of snow or rain but at this time most of the precipitation should stay south of us.

Chilly and dry weather Sunday into Monday.

Another strong low will give us a chance of rain or snow Monday night into Tuesday.

Dry weather with milder temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.

Good morning everyone!  Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s here in Clifton down to the middle 20s further inland, winds are gusty out of the west up to 35 mph.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine, it will be quite windy this morning but the winds will diminish this afternoon, temperatures will be below normal with highs only in the 40s.

A weak warm front will cause skies to cloud up tonight and there is a chance of snow by tomorrow morning changing to rain by noontime, accumulations should be from a dusting up to one inch. It will be warmer during the afternoon but a cold front will cross the area late in the day.

A low pressure is expected to develop along a front to our south, latest models have most of the snow staying south of the area but has been the case lately the models come north as we get closer to the event.   At the present time 2-4 inches of snow is possible.

Dry and chilly Sunday into Monday.

Another low pressure area should give us some more precipitation late Monday night into Tuesday, at this time it looks to be a mainly rain event but it may start off as snow especially across higher elevations inland.

Finally it looks like nice spring weather will begin by the end of next week.

Good morning everyone!   We have cloudy skies early this morning with dense fog in many areas, temperatures range from around 40 in Clifton down to the middle 30s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A strong cold front will cross the area around noon preceded by showers and milder temperatures and followed by clearing and becoming very windy with gusts to 50 mph possible into this evening.  Colder at night with only slowly diminishing winds.

Thursday will be a dry but chilly day.

A weak frontal system may give us a short burst of snow Friday morning before changing to rain.

Another storm system will give us a chance of rain or snow on Saturday followed by clearing and continued chilly weather Sunday and Monday.

A stronger storm may affect our area on Tuesday with mainly a rain event but the precipitation may start off as snow.

Good morning everyone!   Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton to the upper 20s further inland, winds are light southerly.   Yesterday in Clifton I recorded 6.5 inches of snow which was the most snow in April since 1982.

Today a warm front will be approaching the area from the south, rain from this system will develop by noon and continue into this evening, temperatures will be chilly during the day but stay steady or even rise a bit tonight.

We should be in the warm sector tomorrow morning with temperatures rising to the 50s and low 60s, however a cold front may touch off a shower or thunderstorm in the early afternoon, it will become windy with gusts to 35 mph.

Thursday should be dry, breezy and chilly.

Not as cold on Friday but there will be a chance of showers as a cold front crosses the area.

As of now the weekend looks to be mainly dry but with below normal temperatures.

Low pressure will give us a chance of rain or wet snow on Monday.

Good snowy morning everyone!    Moderate to heavy snow is falling early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton to the middle 20s further inland, winds are northerly about 10 mph.  Accumulation so far is around 2 inches which already makes this the most April accumulation since 2003.

Snow will continue heavy at times before tapering off around 9 a.m., accumulations of 4-6 inches are expected, if we get more than 4 inches it will be the heaviest snow since the April blizzard in 1982.   We should see some clearing this afternoon which will help melt most of the snowpack with highs in the 40s.

Another frontal system with a warm front moving toward the area on Tuesday, rain from this system will affect our area by Tuesday morning possibly some freezing rain well inland at higher elevations.

The warm front will move north of us Wednesday morning with a southwest flow of much milder air.  Then a cold front will cross the area Wednesday afternoon giving us more showers and even a possible thunderstorm.

Much cooler and windy on Thursday.

Still another frontal system may give us some rain or snow Friday evening into Saturday morning.   A low pressure may develop on the front but the heaviest precipitation at this time should stay to our south but any northward movement may give us another chance of snow over the weekend.

CLIFTON MONTHLY SUMMARY  MARCH 2018.

March averaged around 2 degrees below normal and March was colder than February, that has happened only 3 times in the last 45 years, 1984, 2017 and 2018.

Precipitation total 4.30 inches which is around normal.  However it was the snowiest March since my records began with 27.3 inches accumulating.    3 inches fell on the 2nd, 14 inches on the 7th, 2.5 inches on the 13th and 7.8 inches on the 21st.

The highest temperature was 61 degrees recorded on the 1st.  The lowest temperature was 24 degrees recorded on the 17th.
