SUNDAY  JANUARY 28, 2018  5:54 A.M.

Light rain is falling over the area this morning and temperatures are quite mild ranging from the upper 40s in the Clifton area down to the some upper 30s well inland, winds are light.

A weak cold front will cross the area this morning and the rain should stop around noon, some clearing late in the day is likely and temperatures will remain mild.

Monday will be cooler but mainly dry, however a low pressure offshore may give us some light snow late Monday night into Tuesday morning but at this time accumulations should be light with an inch possible.

Colder weather and dry Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday as high pressure builds into the area.

Milder again on Thursday but another disturbance will likely give us some light rain changing to snow Thursday night into Friday morning and then mix with rain Friday afternoon.

Fair and colder weather for next weekend.

SATURDAY  JANUARY 27, 2018  5:44 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and there is a wide range of temperatures with readings ranging from the upper 20s in the Clifton area down to the middle teens in some spots further inland, winds are mainly light.

High pressure will move off the coast today and a return southerly flow of much milder air will move into our area, it will become breezy by this afternoon.

A weak cold front will cause some light rain late tonight into Sunday morning followed by clearing by the afternoon, it will remain quite mild.

Cooler air will filter into the area on Monday and there is a chance of light rain or snow Monday afternoon into Tuesday as a disturbance along a front moves northeast probably far enough away to cause any significant snow.

Clearing and quite chilly on Wednesday.

Milder on Thursday,  a more significant storm may give us rain on Thursday night into Friday possible changing to snow late in the day which may continue into Saturday morning.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and with mainly calm winds it is quite chilly ranging from the low 20s in the Clifton area down to around 10 further inland.   If there was snow on the ground these temperatures would be much colder.

High pressure over the area will provide mostly sunny weather today and with light winds and slight milder temperatures it will feel less harsh outside today.

Much milder on Saturday along with mostly sunny skies.   A weak cold front will cause some showers late Saturday night into Sunday morning followed by clearing and still mild conditions on Sunday.

Monday will be cooler but mainly dry during the day.

There is a low chance of some light snow Monday night into Tuesday as a low pressure system moves well offshore.

Colder and dry on Wednesday followed by milder and continued dry weather for Thursday.

THURSDAY  JANUARY 25, 2018  5:48 A.M.

Skies have become mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures are much colder than the last few mornings ranging from the low 20s in the Clifton area down to the middle teens further inland, winds are from the northwest averaging 5-10 MPH.

High pressure building into our area will give us a mostly sunny day after early morning clouds, high temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark but winds will diminish by this afternoon.

Quite cold tonight as we will have light winds and clear skies but Friday afternoon will not be as cold as today as high pressure moves offshore and a southerly wind will develop.

Very mild over the weekend, Saturday will be dry but a cold front approaching from the west will give us some rain late Saturday night into Sunday afternoon.

There is a chance of rain on Monday as the front moves slowly offshore.  A low pressure developing on the front may cause some snow on Tuesday although the storm at this time will be well enough offshore to give us any significant impacts.

Fair and cold weather is expected on Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY  JANUARY 24, 2018   5:43  A.M.

Our area has mostly cloudy skies early this morning and temperatures are mild with readings ranging from around 40 in the Clifton area down to the mid 30s further inland winds are light westerly.  Yesterday we reached a record high in Clifton of 61 degrees and we had .72 inches of rainfall.

Today will be cooler, a cold front will come through dry this morning and today’s highs will only rise a couple of degrees from this morning’s low, it will become a little breezy, skies will be partly to mostly sunny.

Seasonably cold and dry Thursday and Friday as high pressure moves into the area.

A return flow off the high will cause milder temperatures over the weekend, it will continue to be dry on Saturday but rain is likely on Sunday as a frontal system moves into our area.

Cooler early next week with a chance of rain or snow showers on Monday.  Fair weather returns for Tuesday.
