FRIDAY  JULY 14, 2017  6:00 A.M.

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and some showers are moving into parts of the area. Temperatures are cooler than the last couple of mornings, with readings mainly in the middle to upper 60s, the humidity is high and there is an east wind.

A cold front came down from the north around midnight last night bringing cooler air;  this front will be just to our south which will cause periods of rain and possible thunderstorms mainly this morning.  A second cold front approaching  from the northwest will give us a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures with the clouds and an onshore flow will keep readings in the 70s.

After some early morning showers on Saturday it will then become mostly sunny and seasonably warm with moderate humidity.  High pressure will continue give us nice weather for Sunday with continued warm temperatures.

A low pressure moving up from the south may give us a chance of showers Monday and Tuesday followed by quite warm and dry weather for Wednesday and Thursday.

THURSDAY  JULY 13, 2017  5:44 A.M.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and it is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in the Clifton area to the upper 60s further inland, it continues to be humid with dew points near 70 degrees.

Today will be a hot and humid day as temperatures reach the 90s and with the dew point near 70 it will make it feel like close to 100.  Most of the morning into the middle part of this afternoon will remain dry but showers and thunderstorms will develop by late this afternoon and continue tonight as a cold front approaches the area.

Friday will be much cooler and a little less humid as the frontal system will slowly move south of the area, clouds and a light onshore wind will keep high temperatures in the 70s.  Rain and thunderstorms some heavy in the morning, maybe a break in the rain around midday but more showers and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon as another front approaches from the northwest.  Rainfall amounts Thursday night through Friday will average 1-3 inches.

The weekend weather looks very nice with seasonably warm temperatures and moderate humidity along with plenty of sunshine.

Near seasonable temperatures through the middle of next week and we should have partly sunny skies but there is a low chance of showers Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening.

WEDNESDAY  JULY 12, 2017  5:53 A.M.

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Wednesday morning, there are some light showers in parts of the area but most areas are dry, temperatures range from the mid 70s in the Clifton area to the upper 60s further inland, it is quite muggy with dew points near 70.

Today we should see a mix of sun and clouds with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, high temperatures will be similar to yesterday with readings near 90 along with continued high humidity.

Thursday will be hotter and continued humid with still a chance of mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night with an easterly flow of cooler air for Friday but a disturbance along the front will likely give us rain that may be heavy at times.

A nice weekend is shaping up as high pressure builds into the area, temperatures and humidity will be near seasonable levels.

Continued seasonably warm with moderate humidity into early next week and we should stay dry.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some showers moving through Rockland County in New York, temperatures ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland.  Unlike the last few mornings it is quite muggy with dew points near 70, winds are mainly calm.

Today we will have a mix of clouds and sunshine  & it will be quite warm and humid, there is a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorm. Some of these storms could be quite strong this afternoon and evening.

Tomorrow will be warm and humid again with still a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

Thursday could turn out to be very hot and humid along with possible strong thunderstorms as a cold front approaches the area.

Cooler on Friday with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms especially in the morning.

The weekend weather still looks mainly dry with seasonable temperatures and humidity.

Looking at the longer range, indications are for very hot weather July 20-22.

Skies are clear early on this Monday morning, temperatures range from the upper 60s in the Clifton area down to the chilly low 50s in some area further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity continues to be low.

Today we will enjoy another nice summer day with plenty of sunshine, high temperatures may be a couple of degrees higher than on Sunday and humidity levels will increase late in the day.

Hot and more humid on Tuesday with a good chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, some storms may be strong to severe as a front approaches the area.

Unsettled weather Wednesday through Friday as a front will be stationary near our area causing the chance of showers each day.  Wednesday and Thursday will be quite warm but it should be cooler on Friday.

At this point it looks like another nice weekend coming up with seasonably warm air, lower humidity and plenty of sunshine both days.
