Much cooler today with sunny skies! Cold on Saturday with only a little light snow or flurries! Mild again next week!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday the 13th and temperatures are mild but are falling with readings ranging from around 50 in the Clifton area to the upper 30s further inland, winds are a little brisk out of the west.  Yesterday many high temperatures were recorded for the date and the 65 degrees in Clifton was the warmest January day in 9 years.  The temperature just after midnight this morning was 59 degrees which was a record high in Clifton for today.

A cold front has moved to our south and colder air is slowly filtering in, temperatures that are around 50 right now will fall to the upper 30s by sunset despite mostly sunny skies, there will be a brisk west wind.

Saturday will be cold as high pressure builds from the north while a stationary front will be to our south, moisture from this front is only expected now to give us very light snow or flurries which will only give us a dusting of snow with more falling to our south while north of our area will remain dry.

Sunday will be a mostly sunny day with seasonably cool temperatures.

Monday should be dry with continued seasonably cool temperatures.  A warm front will be crossing the area on Tuesday, precipitation with this front will be mainly rain but may start off as a wintry mix Tuesday morning.

A chance of showers will continue Wednesday and Thursday morning  with mild temperatures that will last through next weekend.

One more frigid day today! Not as cold on Tuesday with rain by evening beginning as a wintery mix! Very mild Wednesday through Friday!

With clear skies and light winds and a fresh snowpack temperatures have fallen to their lowest levels of the season so far with single digits in the Clifton area and close to zero further inland, in fact parts of central and southern parts of New Jersey where there is more snow cover some temperatures are below zero.

Today will be the last frigid day of this week as temperatures remain well below freezing, however winds will be lighter as a strong high pressure moves slowly offshore.

Tuesday will start off dry but a low pressure system approaching from the west will cause precipitation to develop by evening, this precipitation will be mostly rain as temperatures rise above freezing but may start as a period of snow, sleet and freezing rain especially inland.

Much milder on Wednesday with temperature reaching the 50 degree mark, the rain should end by daybreak.

Quite mild and mainly dry Thursday and Friday.

A cold front will move through by Friday evening bringing cooler weather for next weekend and with low pressure developing to our south may cause some overrunning precipitation that depending on temperatures may give us some icy conditions mainly Saturday night into Sunday morning.
