We have mostly fair skies early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the mid 30s here in Clifton to around 30 further inland, winds are light.

A southwest flow off a high  pressure to our south will bring much milder air into the area today and with plenty of sunshine temperatures will rise to near 60 degrees, winds will be a little brisk especially this afternoon.

After a mild night.  Monday will be quite mild once again but a weak cold front may cause a brief shower around midday.

Mainly dry and cooler on Tuesday but temperatures will still be above normal.

A storm system is expected to move across the Appalachians on Wednesday causing rain that may be heavy at times, a cold front with this system will move through at night and there is an outside chance that the precipitation will change to snow before ending.

Colder air for the end of the week and there is a chance of snow on Friday, the computer models are not in agreement this far out as the GFS model has the storm moving well south of us and not affecting our area while the European model shows a rather intense low that would give us accumulating snow, so again stay tuned.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are quite cool ranging from the low 20s here in Clifton to the upper teens further inland, winds are light.

Today will feature plenty of sunshine, temperatures will be below normal but with much less wind than yesterday.

A southwest flow around high pressure across the Gulf states will cause milder temperatures on Sunday along with continued mostly sunny skies.

Dry and mild weather will persist on Monday and Tuesday.

A storm system is still expected to develop on Wednesday and move to our west, the strength and the track of the storm is still uncertain but expect some rain along with continued mild temperatures.

Colder Thursday and Friday and there is some indications of a weak low pressure developing to our south which may give us some rain or snow on Friday.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from the low 30s here in Clifton to the mid 20s further inland, winds are gusty out of the west, some flurries have been reported inland mainly over extreme northwest New Jersey and the Poconos.

The storm that gave us the heavy rain and strong winds is now over the Canadian Maritime area and along with high pressure over the Southern Plain states will combine to give us a brisk northwest flow of chilly air, most highs today will be mainly in the upper 30s despite having plenty of sunshine.

After a cold night tonight temperatures on Saturday will moderate somewhat, winds will be much lighter than today, skies will be mostly sunny.

Milder on dry on Sunday and this mild weather should persist into the middle of next week.

Watching for another storm to affect our area around Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning, as with the last storm the track will take it to our west so it looks to be an all rain event, at this time not sure of the strength of this system but it has the potential to give us heavy rain, mild temperatures and strong winds.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and it is unseasonably mild with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s here in Clifton to around 50 further inland, we have brisk winds out of the southwest.

The storm that produced severe weather in the south and along the east coast with blizzard conditions in  parts of the midwest has moved to the eastern Great Lakes.  Here we had a storm total of 2.31 inches of rain along with the first February thunderstorm in 15 years.   Today we will have variable cloudiness along with a chance of a light shower, winds will be gusty and temperatures will fall from the present readings to the 40s by later this afternoon.

Much colder and windy on Friday with most highs staying in the upper 30s despite plenty of sunshine.

After a cold morning on Saturday with some readings in the teens it will become a little milder in the afternoon along with less wind.

Mild temperatures return for Sunday and last into the midweek period, we will be mainly dry but there may be some showers on Wednesday.

Looking further ahead it looks like another storm that will give us some more rain next Thursday and Friday.

We have cloudy skies with some light rain or drizzle falling early this Wednesday morning and temperatures are ranging from the upper 30s here in Clifton to around the freezing mark in the colder inland areas,  winds are a little brisk from the east.

Today we will have periods of rain mostly on the light side this morning with heavier rain along with milder temperatures later this afternoon and tonight, there may even be some thunderstorms, some of these storms may be accompanied by strong winds and hail. as a storm system moves to our west and a warm front moves through the area, temperatures will rise into the 50s by tonight. Expect about an inch of additional rainfall with some higher amounts, winds will become gusty especially over the coastal areas.

Tomorrow we will dry out although there will be considerable cloudiness, temperatures in the 50s in the morning  will be dropping into the 40s in the afternoon as a cold front crosses the area.

Friday and Saturday will be chilly along with mostly sunny days and mostly clear nights.

Continued dry and milder Sunday and Monday.  Cooler and dry on Tuesday.
