Less heat but more humidity the next few days! Best chance of heavy rain Thursday night into Friday!


Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and it is warm and quite muggy, temperatures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the upper 60s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today we will have a mix of sun and clouds, temperatures will not be as high as the last few day due to more clouds and more of a wind flow off the ocean but the humidity will be higher with dew points in the oppressive low 70s.  There is a low chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm.

Thursday again will be very humid with partly sunny skies again with a chance of some showers and thunderstorms but most of the day and evening will remain dry.

A more likelihood of some widespread shower and thunderstorm activity on Friday, some of the rain will be heavy at times with some local flooding possible, it still will be quite humid.

The weekend at this point looks a little less humid but there still is a chance of showers both days.

Still a chance of showers into Monday as a front crosses our area followed by less humid air for Tuesday.

TROPICS:  Tropical storm Danny has formed in the Atlantic and is expected to become a hurricane on Thursday well east of the Lesser Antilles.

Not as hot but higher humidity the next few days along with increasing chance of showers!


We are having a heavy rain shower early this Tuesday morning as a small area of showers have moved into the Clifton area, most of the other places around the region have partly to mostly cloudy skies.  It is another warm beginning to the day with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the Clifton area to the upper 60s further inland, it is a little muggy with dew points in the mid to upper 60s.

Today will not be as hot as yesterday as we will have more clouds but temperatures still should rise just above 90 degrees, there is only a slight chance of showers but most of the area should remain dry, however if a shower does occur they will be heavy and may cause some local flooding, it will be a little more humid with dew points in the upper 60s.

Increasing humidity on Wednesday with again only a slight chance of an showers, temperatures will be lower once again but dew points will rise to the oppressive low 70s.

Shower chances increase Thursday into Friday with continued high humidity as a front approaches are area.

Unsettled weather will continue into the weekend with a chance of showers both days, humidity levels may drop toward the end of the weekend.

Heat to continue today into Tuesday! Not as hot but more humid with shower chances increasing at the end of this week!


Skies are mostly clear early this Monday morning and temperatures are once again quite warm with readings ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light.

Today will be hot once again, there is an outside chance of an isolated shower but most areas will stay dry, highs once again will reach the low to mid 90s and with the dew points in the mid 60s it will feel rather uncomfortable.

The heat wave continues on Tuesday with again a chance of an isolated shower.

Wednesday through Friday a weak front will be moving into the area giving us more in the way of clouds, temperatures will not be as hot but the humidity will rise along with the chance of showers, at this time it appears the best chance of widespread shower activity will be around Thursday.

Seasonably warm weather and slightly less humid air for the weekend along with mainly dry conditions.

Heatwave to continue until the middle of the week! Less hot toward the end of the week but more humid with increasing chance of showers!


Skies are mostly clear early this Sunday morning and temperatures are warm ranging from around 70 in the Clifton area to the low 60s further inland, winds are light.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine, highs again will reach the mid 90s, humidity will be moderate with dew points in the middle 60s.

High pressure will continue to give us mostly sunny skies on Monday with highs again reaching the mid 90s.

Still hot Tuesday and Wednesday and we should remain dry.

Not as hot during the rest of the week into the start of next weekend, however humidity will rise along with chances of showers.

Very hot weather today through at least Tuesday!


Skies are clear early this Saturday morning and temperatures are not as cool as the last couple of mornings with readings ranging from the upper 60s in Clifton to around 60 further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today will be the start of an extended period of hot weather, we will have plenty of sunshine with temperatures reaching the low 90s, humidity will be moderate with dew points in the low-mid 60s.  There is a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower mostly across the Poconos and the Hudson Valley but most areas will remain dry.

Sunny and even hotter Sunday and Monday with highs mainly in the mid 90s again humidity will be moderate but not oppressive.

We should stay hot the rest of next week and no widespread rain is expected the best chance of showers will be on Friday as a cold front tries to move into the area. Temperatures may be less hot Wednesday through Friday but the humidity will be higher.
