Cool and dry Windsday!

Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning with temperatures in the upper 40s.

It seems like almost every Wednesday lately has been very windy and today will be no exception as wind gusts up to 40 mph are expected, at least today is not my recycling day so I don’t have to chase my plastic and cardboard down the street.  Even with mostly sunny skies today it will be noticeably cooler with highs only in the upper 50s and with the wind it will feel that much cooler.  Yesterday we only picked up .02″ of rain and that is not a good thing for the area due to the fact conditions will be ripe for brush fires and the National Weather Service has issued a “Fire Weather Watch”.

Windy conditions will continue on Thursday with the chances of brush fires continuing, temperatures will start off chilly in the 30s and rise to the low 60s during the afternoon.

Friday we will have much less wind with increasing cloudiness and a chance of showers in the evening.

At this point the weekend looks dry with seasonably mild temperatures on Saturday and a little cooler on Sunday.

Generally cool and dry weather for early next week.

The forecast:  Today – Partly sunny, high in the upper 50s, wind gusts to 40 mph.

Tonight – Partly cloudy, breezy and chilly, low in the low 30s.

Thursday – Sunny and windy, gusts to 35 mph, high in the low 60s.

Friday – Increasing cloudiness, high in the low 60s, chance of evening showers.

Saturday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

Sunday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.

Monday – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

Tuesday – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

Marine forecast: Gale warnings in effect till noon on Thursday for northwest winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

Outlook – Small craft advisories likely will continue until Thursday afternoon with mainly below advisory level conditions Thursday night through Saturday.

Have a good day!
