Stuck with low clouds again this morning, sun “should” come out this afternoon!

My forecast for yesterday was for the sun coming out in the afternoon and temperatures in the 70s and that is what occurred if you were lucky enough to be in Warren County, NJ, but around here clouds persisted all day with temperatures barely made the mid 60s, so for the Clifton area the forecast was more like a train wreck.

So today we will try again, looks like the clouds will break by this afternoon, highs will be in the upper 60s..

Monday will be mostly sunny during the day with increasing cloudiness at night, highs in the low 70s.

Tuesday through Thursday a storm system moving into our area from the west will give us some rain starting early Tuesday morning, about an inch of rain is possible during this period, highs for the most part will be around 70.

Drying out Friday into the weekend with near normal temperatures, highs around 70 degrees.

Marine forecast: Building winds and seas Tuesday through Thursday with small craft advisories likely.

Rather pleasant Spring weekend!

Well no thunder this morning to wake me up, just some fog and that doesn’t make too much noise!

Today we will have some morning low clouds and fog but the sun should break through by this afternoon, highs in the low70s

Sunday a very nice day with mostly sunny skies and a high around 70.

Monday looks like it will be the best day of the upcoming week with again mostly sunny skies and highs around 70, however increasing clouds with rain developing at night.

Tuesday through Thursday look for a rain period, some of that rain may be heavy, highs mainly in the upper 60s

Clearing on Friday.

Marine forecast: Mainly light winds and season through Monday, building winds and seas Tuesday through Thursday with small craft advisories likely to be posted..

And the early morning thunder rolls again, more likely this afternoon and warmer!

Well for the third time in four mornings an early morning thunderstorm woke me up at least it was at a more decent time of just before 6am.
The rest of the day a warm front will pass through around noon and instead of the cool marine air that we have had a southwest flow will boast temperatures to around 80 degrees this afternoon, will be humid also.. A good chance of strong to severe thunderstorms mostly after 5pm into the evening..

Great weekend shaping up as we have mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid 70s on Saturday and near 70 degrees on Sunday.

And the nice weather will extend into Monday with mostly sunny skies and a high again around 70 degrees..

Chances of showers Tuesday through Thursday with highs mainly near 70 degrees.

Good boating weather through midweek..

Another overnight thunderstorm wakes me up!

For the second time this month a heavy thunderstorm moved through overnight with heavy rain and quite a few rumbles of thunder, this activity has moved to our south and today will be cloudy with some sprinkles this morning but some more showers and thunderstorm may develop this afternoon. It will be a little milder with highs in the mid 60s.

Tonight a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorm, staying mild with the low only dropping to near 60 degrees.

Warmer Friday but still with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, there will be breaks in the clouds also with highs in the low 80s.

Some showers persisting into Saturday morning followed by clearing, high around 70 degrees.

Sunday and Monday look dry and pleasant with highs around 70.

Chance of showers for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs again about 70 degrees.

Marine forecast, winds and seas stay light through the middle of next week!

Cool and Cloudy Wednesday with showers!

Cooler marine air will be over the area the next couple of days which will bring plenty of clouds and scattered showers, best chance of rain this afternoon into early Thursday morning!
Highs today only around 60 degrees..

A warm front will be approaching the area on Thursday but should stay to our south keeping temperatures cool and still with plenty of clouds, highs in the 60s..

On Friday the front should move to our north permitting winds to switch to southwest that in turn will boast temperatures to above 80 degrees. Also we have to watch for the chance of severe thunderstorms in the afternoon..

Saturday still warm with a low chance of showers highs in the 70s..

Sunday and Monday should be cooler with highs mainly in the upper 60s..

Looking ahead temperatures for most of next week look below normal with highs mostly in the 60s..

Marine forecast, good boating through the weekend as winds and seas stay below small craft advisory levels, however be aware of thunderstorms on Friday.

Waking up to the sound of thunder!

A thunderstorm rolled through the area around 5:30am waking me up early. We should have more showers till later this morning followed by some clearing and temperatures will warm into the 70s, there still may be a widely scattered shower this afternoon..

Wednesday should be partly sunny and with an onshore flow temperatures will top off in the upper 60s but much cooler at the coast..

Thursday’s forecast is tricky since a warm front will be approaching the area, if it stays to our south we will continue with an onshore flow and temperatures only reaching the low 60s, however if the front moves to our north temperatures will rise into the 70s. Mostly cloudy skies will prevail with a risk of a shower..

Friday the warm front will be to our north and temperatures will rise to the low 80s, as a cold front approaches showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and evening..

Saturday temperatures will still be in the mild 70s with partly sunny skies.

Sunday will be cooler and mostly cloudy with a high in the 60s..

Marine forecast, small craft advisory today well out in the open ocean otherwise below advisory winds and seas the rest of the week..
