Hot weather to continue through the weekend!

We are located on the northern fringe of very hot air, while it was in the upper 90s here many areas especially from Tennessee to the Carolinas up to Baltimore temperatures were well into the 100s, some areas had their all time heat records broken. To top it off a extremely strong cluster of thunderstorms called a DERECHO moved from the Chicago area through to Southern New Jersey causing massive power outages and some fatalities. Wind gusts to 90MPH in some of these intense fast moving storms.

Today will be very hot here once again with highs in the mid to upper 90s with mostly sunny skies.

Tonight into early tomorrow morning another of those clusters of thunderstorms will be moving mainly just to our south but there is a chance it may reach our area, lows around 70.

Sunday after a chance of an early morning thunderstorm, becoming partly sunny with highs in the mid 90s.

Monday, mostly sunny and hot but less humid with highs near 90.

Tuesday through Friday, dry with highs in the upper 80s to around 90.

Now the latest indications are that next weekend may be just as hot as this one…
