Lots of clouds remain with a risk of a shower to end the weekend!


Today’s weather will be very similar to yesterday’s with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies and just a chance of a shower in the afternoon. Monday will be dry and a little milder. A storm system from the Gulf states will move towards our area giving rain Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Drying out later Wednesday that will last into Friday. A cold front will come through on the weekend with chilly fall weather for most of next week.

Lots of clouds will be around this weekend but with little or no rain!


This morning it is starting out cloudy with temperatures in the upper 50s, clouds will prevail today but also with some sun, temperatures are going to be around 70 degrees. Sunday we will still have mostly cloudy skies and a little better chance of an afternoon shower, highs will be a couple of degrees warmer than today. Monday looks dry and seasonable. Next chance of steady and heavy rain will be on Tuesday and Tuesday night. Wednesday still a chance of showers but it will be warm and humid for early October with highs approaching 80 degrees. Thursday and Friday look dry with seasonably mild temperatures. At this time it appears much cooler weather for next weekend with frost possible in the colder suburbs.

Showers likely through most of Friday, weekend still looks drier!


Some early showers dumped about 1/4″ of rain before dawn, heavier up to our north towards Curtville. The rest of the day we will have some showers and thunderstorms it won’t rain all the time but when it does some heavy downpours are possible into tonight.
The weekend does not look as rainy as today, only a slight chance of rain on Saturday and another chance on Sunday but most of the time it will be dry. Monday should be rain free but there is a chance of showers again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday look dry and mild.

Brief break in the rain today but more tonight and Friday, weekend looks better!


A little light rain lingered a little longer than I thought yesterday but the rain is now moving offshore, there may be a little sunshine today but for the most part it will be mostly cloudy. Clouds increase tonight and rain will return after midnight tonight and last into Friday afternoon, we may pick up an inch or so or precipitation. Now the weekend instead of steady rain that was in the forecast yesterday it looks like most of the time will be dry with only a slight chance of showers. My friend Tom was asking about the big Nascar race in Dover, Delaware this weekend and right now it doesn’t look too bad with only a chance of light showers both Saturday and Sunday.. Warming trend next week but much cooler weather is indicated by the models starting next weekend.

Showers likely developing later this afternoon!


We had a brief shower around 3:30AM that gave us only .01″ of rain, now there will be a break in the rain until later this afternoon, may have a peak or two of sunshine but despite the mostly cloudy skies temperatures will reach the upper 70s and it will be a little muggy also. The showers will move in mostly after 4pm and extend most of the evening hours. Thursday will be a nice day but more rain will be in the forecast from late Thursday night through the weekend, nighttime temperatures during this period will be milder than normal mostly in the upper 50s but daytime temperatures with the rain and clouds will be below normal mostly in the upper 60s. Milder trend likely for most of next week.

Milder day after a chilly start.


Temperatures this morning are in the mid 40s here in Clifton but some of the cooler parts of the state readings dropped down to the 30s, coolest since mid-May. It will get quickly milder today with readings rising to the mid 70s under sunny skies.. On Wednesday there is a slight chance of a shower in the morning but most of the showers will hold off till the afternoon into early Thursday morning. Cool with chance of showers late Friday through the weekend.

The cool and dry conditions of Sunday will continue today, there may be some clouds this morning but they should dissipate by later this morning. Tomorrow will be slightly milder with a southwest flow. Chance of showers Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday morning, temperatures on Wednesday may reach the upper 70s.. Cooler and dry weather for Thursday and Friday. Weekend at this point looks unsettled with a chance of rain both days..

A pleasantly cool Sunday!


Temperatures yesterday were just short of 80 degrees and during the day it was partly sunny and dry. I was at the Yankee game yesterday and it felt nice sitting in the stands with perfect temperatures and a nice breeze, left the game after the top of the 13th as Oakland had a four run lead, of course the Yanks came back and won the game.
Last evening we had .31″ of rain in showers and thunderstorms. Now the rain is gone and it will be pleasantly mild with highs in the low 70s. Chilly tonight with lows in the 40s.Monday will be be a cool day with highs staying in the 60s, milder Tuesday and Wednesday with the next chance of showers coming Wednesday afternoon. Thursday and Friday look dry and seasonably mild with rain chances again for next weekend.

80 degrees today as we begin autumn!


Autumn arrives this morning at 10:49am but we will have more of a summer type day with highs approaching 80 degrees. A cold front will come through early Sunday morning preceded by showers and thunderstorms, some of these storms may be strong, timing of the showers is from 5pm to 2am however the most likely time to see any rainfall is after 8pm. It will be cooler Sunday through Tuesday. Another front will give us a chance of showers Wednesday evening with then dry and cool weather the rest of next week…

Pleasant last full day of summer!


Today will be slightly milder for the last full day of summer with highs about five degrees higher than yesterday reaching the mid 70s, there will be less clouds than on Thursday also. Autumn arrives tomorrow morning and the weather will be more like summer with highs reaching the low 80s in some spots in the area. A cold front will be coming through tomorrow night with showers and thunderstorms likely, it won’t be a widespread thunderstorm outbreak as Tuesday’s but some of the storms can be strong. Breezy and cooler on Sunday and that cool weather will continue the early part of next week before getting a little milder again by Wednesday ahead of the next cold front!
