Good weather to continue through the weekend!


Showers with a weak cold front moved through right before dawn, only .02″ recorded in Clifton, now we will be dry for the rest of this weekend with temperatures a few degrees lower than yesterday’s with highs both days in the 70s and with low humidity.
Next storm system will affect the area from Tuesday until Wednesday morning, we look to get at least heavy rain but there also may be some severe weather associated with this storm.. Nice weather Thursday and Friday..

The forecast: Today: Sunny and pleasant, high in the mid 70s.

Tonight: Clear and cool, low in the low to mid 50s.

Sunday: Sunny with highs again in the mid 70s.

Monday: Mostly sunny with increasing cloudiness toward evening, high in the upper 70s.

Tuesday and Tuesday night: Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely, possible very heavy rain and strong gusty winds, high in the mid-upper 70s.

Wednesday: Becoming mostly sunny by the afternoon, high in the mid 70s

Thursday: Sunny, high in the low 70s.

Friday: Partly sunny, highs in the mid 70s.

You have to love this weather with warm days and cool nights. Today will be nearly a carbon copy of yesterday’s weather with temperatures again just above 80 degrees.
Some showers overnight tonight are possible but they will be light, then more sunshine returns for the weekend into Monday. A storm system will give a good chance of showers Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

Weather can’t get much better than this!


This time last year we were experiencing flooding rains from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee what a difference a year makes as we are enjoying a very nice and pleasant stretch of September weather. Not much change in today and tomorrow’s weather with warm days and cool nights with low humidity. The weekend looks good except for a possible shower very late Friday night into early Saturday morning, otherwise it will be dry and a few degrees cooler. Next chance of rain is on Tuesday.

The forecast: Today, Sunny, high in the low 80s.

Tonight: some patch fog otherwise clear with a low near 60.

Friday: Sunny again with highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: A chance of an early morning shower then becoming sunny, high in the mid 70s.

Fine September weather to continue the next several days!


Temperatures this morning although cool (52 degrees) are actually a couple of degrees higher than yesterday morning. High pressure will move off the coast today and a southerly flow will cause temperatures to rise just above 80 degrees with comfortable humidity.
Thursday and Friday will also have temperatures in the low 80s with dry conditions. Now even the weekend looks dry with highs in the upper 70s. The next threat of rain is not until maybe next Tuesday evening…

Temperatures will rebound after the coolest morning since early June!


A chilly start this morning as temperatures dipped to 50 degrees in Clifton but as low as 39 at Pequest in northwest Sussex County. With plenty of sunshine today we should rise back into the mid 70s, much like yesterday but with much less wind.
A warming trend will continue from tomorrow into the weekend with highs mainly in the low 80s. Next chance of rain is late Saturday or more likely on Sunday.

The forecast: Today, Sunny, high in the mid 70s.

Tonight: mostly clear, low in the mid 50s.

Wednesday through Saturday: mostly sunny days and mostly clear and comfortable nights, highs in the low 80s. lows in the upper 50s to the low 60s, low humidity.

Sunday: partly sunny, with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 70s.

Monday: partly sunny, high again in the upper 70s.
