More clouds, showers and humidity for your Thursday!

Yesterday we fell short of the anticipated high temperatures yesterday for the northern part of New Jersey as we only reached 71 degrees but southern New Jersey broke into sunshine with readings in the 80s. One thing that we did have was the humidity as dew points reached close to 70. We had a very heavy thunderstorm come through shortly after 10am, glad I finished my run 15 minutes before the downpour, we picked up a quick .56″ of rain in a little over an hour, otherwise all we had was some drizzle and cloudy skies all day.
Today an area of showers is across Eastern Pennsylvania and will move into our area by mid-day. The humidity and overcast conditions will remain most of the day. A weak cold front will be moving through tonight and Friday will be a little less humid but with plenty of sunshine temperatures will approach 80. A cold front on Saturday afternoon will be accompanied by a chance of showers, temperatures will be in the 70s dropping off after the cold front. Sunday looks like a very chilly with a chance of rain. Clearing with the coolest temperatures of the season early next week..
