Yesterday we picked up a little over an inch of rain but some spots in northwestern New Jersey received up to three inches of precipitation. The rain has moved offshore but with high dew points and light winds there is considerable dense fog in our area with visibilities close to zero. As a drier air moves in on westerly winds the fog will burn off and today will be sunny with mild temperatures. A few degrees cooler on Sunday before becoming milder again starting Monday with mild temperatures continuing next week, there will be little or no rain most of the week..
