Snowy Saturday!


This morning as of 6am it is snowing over us but not reaching the ground, however we will shortly see the first flakes fall especially after 10am that will last into this evening, Accumulations will average 3-4 inches in our area with up to 6 inches in some lucky spots, most snow will end by 9pm. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and windy with seasonably cold temperatures. Most of the upcoming week will be dry with no storms on the horizon however it will be cold especially by the end of the week. The long range for the second week of January looks to be milder.

The forecast:
Today – Snow developing by 10am with 3-5 inches accumulating by evening, highs in the low-mid 30s.
Tonight – Snow ending by 9pm, low in the mid 20s.
Sunday – Mostly cloudy and windy, high in the mid 30s
Monday – Mostly sunny with a high in the mid 30s.
Tuesday – Mostly cloudy, high in the upper 30s.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 30s.
Thursday – Mostly cloudy, high in the low 30s.
Friday – Mostly sunny, high only in the upper 20s.

Marine Forecast: Today – Winds becoming northeast up to 12 knots, seas 2 feet.
Outlook – Gale warnings for Sunday, then near small craft advisory levels Monday through Wednesday.
