Seasonable cold but dry weather as we head into the new year!

Today we will have much less wind than yesterday and with temperatures in the upper 30s it will not feel as harsh as yesterday. Tonight temperatures will not be that bad for people outside watching the ball drop with readings at midnight around 32 degrees, a little above normal but about 10-15 degrees colder than last New Year’s Eve. On New Year’s Day which is tomorrow, temperatures will be a little milder with highs in the lower 40s.
Dry and the coldest air of the season so far Wednesday through Friday with lows in the teens and highs no quite hitting the 30 degree mark. Slowly moderating temperatures for next weekend and at this point no big winter storms are on the horizon.

The forecast:
Today – Partly sunny, high in the upper 30s
Tonight – Mostly cloudy just a slight chance of a flurry, low around 30.
New Year’s Day – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny and colder, high in the low 30s.
Thursday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 20s.
Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 20s.
