Colder winter weather is back: A little snow on Super Bowl Sunday!


This morning we have temperatures mostly in the low to mid 20s, winds have diminished from yesterday but still will be on the brisk side today. Skies will be mainly partly sunny today however a weak disturbance will give a little light snow to Southern New Jersey this morning. Saturday will be cold with increasing cloudiness, a chance of light snow developing late Saturday night. Light snow is likely for Sunday. Another clipper will give us a chance of light snow or rain on Tuesday. The rest of the week looks quiet with a slight warming trend. No big storms are forecast for the next several days.

The forecast: Today – Partly sunny, high in the low-mid 30s.
Tonight – Partly cloudy, low around 20.
Saturday – Increasing clouds, high near 30. Chance of snow developing at night.
Sunday – Light snow likely, high in the mid 30s, snow ending by Sunday evening.
Monday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s.
Tuesday – Cloudy with a chance of light snow or rain, high in the mid 30s.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, high in the mid 30s.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

Marine Forecast: Today – Small craft advisory until late tonight, northwest wind to 25 knots, seas up to 5 feet.
Outlook – Winds and seas lowering to below advisory levels on Saturday but advisories likely to be needed Sunday evening through Monday morning before diminishing late Monday.
