Sunny Sunday followed by precipitation on Monday!


It is a frigid morning as temperatures have fallen due to light winds, clear skies and a fresh snow pack, as of 6am, it is 13 degrees in Clifton but down to zero in the colder spots of Sussex County. Today withe plenty of sunshine temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 30s. Increasing cloudiness tonight with precipitation beginning before daybreak falling as a mix of freezing rain and sleet before changing to all rain around 9AM, temperatures on Monday will moderate into the low-mid 40s with the rain ending by evening. Dry Tuesday with mild temperatures. Another low pressure is forecast to move well south of our area on Wednesday night and Thursday so most places will stay dry. Dry Friday but watching another possible low pressure developing off the coast next weekend.

Tonight – Increasing cloudiness with a chance of light mixed sleet and freezing rain, low in the upper 20s.
Monday – Mixed precipitation changing to all rain, ending in the evening, milder, high in the mid 40s.
Tuesday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.
Friday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.
Saturday – Chance or rain or snow showers, high in the upper 30s.

Marine Forecast: Today – North-northwest winds becoming west-southwest to 10 knots, seas to 3 feet.
Outlook – Small craft advisory posted for Monday and will likely be needed for Tuesday and again Wednesday night into Thursday.
