Cold with a couple of clippers the next couple of days!


Mostly clear skies this morning with temperatures around 20 degrees. Today we will have increasing clouds with a chance of light snow this evening as a weak clipper moves through, high temperatures will be similar to yesterday reaching the low 30s. Another clipper can give us another coating of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Thursday will be dry and a little milder.. There is a chance of a more significant storm that can give us rain or snow on Friday. Dry and milder for next weekend.

The forecast: Today – Partly cloudy, with increasing clouds toward evening, high in the low 30s.
Tonight – A chance of light snow after 7PM, low in the low 20s.
Tuesday – Chance of light snow before 8am then partial clearing during the afternoon, high in the mid 30s. Chance of light snow again at night.
Wednesday – Chance of light snow before 8am then clearing, high in the upper 30s.
Thursday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 30s.
Friday – Chance of rain or snow, high near 40.
Saturday – Sunny, high near 40.
Sunday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

Marine Forecast: Small craft advisory till 6pm, west winds gusting to up to 30 knots, seas 5 feet.
Below advisory level condition Tuesday through Thursday, then a chance of advisories for Friday.

Cold with still a chance of a little snow for Super Bowl Sunday!


The snow started a little earlier last night than predicted, my trip back from visiting friends in Highland NY was a little annoying, the thruway was snow covered most of the way while the Garden State Parkway was salted and just wet.. Today will remain cloudy and cool with a chance of a little more light snow or flurries.
Cold weather will persist into at least Wednesday with a couple more chances of light snow on Monday night and again on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Milder weather towards the end of next week but with a chance of rain and snow on Friday.
Milder weather next weekend that should continue most of next week!

Monday – Increasing clouds and cold, with a chance of snow at night, high in the low 30s.

Marine Forecast: Small craft advisory from this evening through Monday, Today northwest wind to 15 knots, seas 2 feet.. Northwest winds increasing tonight with gusts to 30 knots, seas up to 5 feet.
Outlook – Conditions lowering to below small craft advisory levels Monday night and continue most of this week.

Chilly but not frigid weather will continue; Little coating of snow late tonight.


Temperatures this morning have fallen into the teens in most areas and during the day today temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark however the wind will be less than the last couple of days. A clipper will give us a coating to an inch of snow from this evening into the early morning Sunday. Most of the snow will move away by 8am on Sunday so traveling to any Super Bowl parties will not be an issue..
Most of next week we will still have below normal temperatures but nothing too frigid, a couple of clippers may give us some light snow around Wednesday and again a chance of rain and snow on Friday. Moderating trend next weekend into the following week.

Colder winter weather is back: A little snow on Super Bowl Sunday!


This morning we have temperatures mostly in the low to mid 20s, winds have diminished from yesterday but still will be on the brisk side today. Skies will be mainly partly sunny today however a weak disturbance will give a little light snow to Southern New Jersey this morning. Saturday will be cold with increasing cloudiness, a chance of light snow developing late Saturday night. Light snow is likely for Sunday. Another clipper will give us a chance of light snow or rain on Tuesday. The rest of the week looks quiet with a slight warming trend. No big storms are forecast for the next several days.
