Slow clearing with milder temperatures after a chilly and damp Monday!


Some drizzle was falling before daybreak with temperatures around the 50 degree mark.
During the day today high pressure will build into our area from the northeast permitting drier air to move in and we should see some sunshine by this afternoon, temperatures will reach the mid 60s nearly 10 degrees higher than yesterday.
A nice stretch of dry weather with seasonably mild temperatures from Wednesday through the weekend with high temperatures approaching 70 degrees each day but coastal areas will be cooler due to a persistent onshore wind.

The forecast: Today – Some early drizzle then slow clearing, highs in the mid 60s.

Cloudy and cooler weather with some rain today into Tuesday.


After having a wonderful weekend we are now faced with a cloudy day with some rain. Looking at the radar this morning an area of rain is moving to our east so it may be rain free into this afternoon for all those dog walkers out there. Still we may have a chance of showers later in the day and night. Daytime temperatures will be cooler mainly in the low 60s.
Still a lot of clouds around on Tuesday with any rain mostly before 10 am.
Drier air will move in Wednesday and with a blocking pattern in place this nice weather could last through the weekend. High temperatures will mostly be in the mid to upper 60s throughout this period.

It is clear again this morning with the temperatures in the 40s in Clifton but some 30s are being reported at some inland locations. With plenty of sunshine today temperatures will reach the low 70s.
More clouds with cooler temperatures along with increasing rain chances on Monday into part of Tuesday, most of this will fall as just light rain or drizzle.
Drier air should move in on Wednesday and we should remain rain free with moderating temperatures through the end of the week.

We are starting off the day with clear skies with the temperature in Clifton is at 44 degrees.
High pressure will be in control of this weekend’s weather with sunny skies and temperatures near 70 degrees today and a couple of degrees higher on Sunday.
The high pressure will move off the New England coast early next week and the wind will be off the ocean so it will be cooler especially along the coastal areas, also there may be more clouds around with even a chance of drizzle or light rain with the best chances of this happening Monday night into Tuesday, high temperatures for the week will mostly be in the 60s.

At daybreak this morning under mostly clear skies temperatures are in the upper 40s in the Clifton area but some 30s were reported inland.
With plenty of sunshine today temperatures will rise a couple of degrees higher than yesterday with less wind.
Tonight with clear skies and light winds some inland areas may have some frost.
The weekend weather is as good as it gets for this time of year with mostly sunny days with highs near 70 degrees.
As we head into next week high pressure will move off the New England coast giving our area an onshore flow that could give us more clouds and drizzle along the coast but for the time being I will continue to forecast dry conditions through most of next week with high temperatures in the 60s but it will be cooler at the shore..

Fabulous spring weather the next several days!


A cold front came through shortly after midnight and dropped temperatures from around 60 at midnight to the mid 40s at daybreak, the front was accompanied by some sprinkles but most areas stayed dry.
After some cloudiness this morning it will become mostly sunny, bit breezy this morning but the wind will diminish this afternoon, temperatures will reach the mid 60s around average for this time of year.
A nice stretch of spring weather will continue into at least early next week with plenty of sunshine every day with daytime highs averaging 65-70, who says we don’t get nice spring weather anymore?

Another cool day with lots of clouds; Warmer tomorrow!


Temperatures this morning have again dropped into the upper 30s and with lots of clouds around and an onshore easterly flow readings today will only rise to the mid 50s. Low pressure is offshore and we may have an afternoon sprinkle but most of this area will remain dry with the best chances of rain further east.
Much warmer tomorrow as the low moves further offshore and a weak high pressure moves into the area, southwest winds and plenty of sunshine will help temperatures rise into the 70s.
A cold front will come through early Thursday morning accompanied by some showers late tomorrow night.
A nice stretch of dry weather Thursday through the weekend with seasonable temperatures, normal highs for this time of year are in the low-mid 60s.

Another cool morning as the temperatures have fallen to 36 degrees in the Clifton area. However, In the colder spots inland birdbath water may be freezing again.
A strong high pressure system is moving off the New England coast, temperatures with an easterly wind will be again only in the 50s. A weak disturbance off the southeast coast will cause more cloudiness as the day goes on.
Cool again on Tuesday with more clouds and even a chance of some very light rain or drizzle.
Milder on Wednesday but shower chances increase as a cold front approaches, these showers may persist into Thursday morning.
Dry with seasonable temperatures Friday into next weekend.
