Warm weather for Thursday with low humidity!


We are starting out quite mild as temperatures are around 60 degrees at 6am in the Clifton area.
Despite a weak cold front that came through last night a westerly wind will boost temperatures into the 80s however humidity will be lower and there will be a nice breeze.
Another outstanding day on Friday though temperatures will be a bit cooler than today.
The weekend appears to stay dry with Saturday being the best day as on Sunday an onshore flow will cause cloudiness and cooler temperatures.
As we head into early next week rain chances will increase but it will become warmer once again as we may approach 80 degrees again by Tuesday and into the 80s by midweek.

Tonight – Mostly clear, low in the low 50s.
Friday – Sunny, high in the mid 70s.
Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s.
Sunday – Mostly cloudy, high near 70.

Tuesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 70s.

Marine forecast: Today – North-northwest wind becoming South-southwest this afternoon up to 9 knots, seas around 4 feet.
Outlook – Sub-advisory level conditions through the weekend, advisories may be needed for hazardous seas early next week.

Cloudy with some showers around today, warm and dry on Thursday!


This morning we have cloudy skies in the Clifton area with temperatures about 10 degrees higher than yesterday morning with the 6:30am reading of 49 degrees.
The clouds will persist much of the day with a chance of showers and a thunderstorm this afternoon but more likely occurring tonight, temperatures will be milder than the last couple of days.
Clearing will take place on Thursday with much warmer temperatures as we have a shot of hitting 80 degrees.
Sunny and a little cooler on Friday.
The weekend looks mainly dry with mild temperatures in the low 70s, however shower chances increase later Sunday night.
Early next week’s weather be mild but there also may be some showers around.

Frosty morning with near record low temperatures!


There is frost on the car tops here in Clifton this morning with temperatures in the upper 30s. Inland some temperatures in Northwest New Jersey have even dropped into the upper 20s.
Today we will have plenty of sunshine and temperatures should rise about five degrees warmer than yesterday but still be below normal. There will be less wind and clouds so it will feel more comfortable.
Tonight will be also a few degrees milder than this morning so only inland places have a chance for more frost.
A warm front will be moving through on Wednesday giving us mainly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
Thursday through Saturday will be pleasantly warm with plenty of sunshine.
Chances of showers for later on Sunday into Monday, temperatures will be a little above normal.

Unseasonably chilly today with frost and freeze warnings for tonight!


Quite cool air for mid-May has moved into the area, temperatures this morning range from the 30s inland to around 40 in the Clifton area.. Sunshine this morning will be followed by increasing cumulus clouds, high temperatures will only reach the upper 50s.
Widespread frost in our area tonight with even some temperatures falling to near the freezing point inland, it will be a good idea to cover small or delicate plants.
Tuesday will feature plenty of sunshine with slightly milder afternoon temperatures.
A warm front will be moving into our area on Wednesday with temperatures rebounding to near normal and there also is a risk of showers into the evening.
Warmer and dry Thursday and Friday.
At this point the weekend looks a little unsettled with some chances of showers but temperatures should stay a little above normal with highs both days in the 70s.

Clearing skies for Mother’s Day! Quite chilly for Monday and Tuesday with frost possible!


Clouds with a couple of showers are around this morning as a cold front moves slowly through our area. Clearing will take place later this morning and it will become breezy and much less muggy than yesterday with highs in the upper 60s.
A second cold front will come through later this afternoon that will be followed by quite chilly air for mid-May, some frost advisories have been issued for inland areas for tonight and frost may be even more widespread Tuesday morning as temperatures will drop down to the 30s.
Daytime high temperatures on Monday will be close to 60 about 10 degrees colder than normal for this time of year.
Not as cool on Wednesday and warmer Thursday into next weekend but with the milder air there will be chances of showers..

The forecast: Today, after early morning clouds and a brief shower, becoming mostly sunny, breezy, not as muggy with a high in the upper 60s.
Tonight – Clear and quite cool, frost inland, low around 40.
Monday – Partly sunny, high only around 60. More widespread frost at night with temperatures in the 30s.
