Warm and muggy Saturday with showers and thunderstorms; Cooler and drier for Mother’s Day!


It is cloudy this morning after having some rain moving through our area overnight, temperatures are in the mild low 60s with very high humidity. Cloudy and muggy condition will continue today with showers and thunderstorms some of which may be heavy especially this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will continue into tonight.
A cold front will be crossing the area early Sunday morning followed by clearing, it will be cooler with much less humidity.
Very cool weather for Monday and Tuesday, in fact some early morning temperatures may fall into the 30s especially inland and there may be some frost around.
Mainly dry with warmer temperatures Wednesday through the end of next week..

The forecast: Today – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms, some of these storms may be accompanied by gusty winds and heavy rain, humid, high in the low 70s.
Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms continuing till around 2am, low in the mid 50s.
Sunday – Cloudy start then becoming mostly sunny, cooler and much less humid, high in the upper 60s.
Monday – Mostly sunny, quite cool, high around 60.
Tuesday – Mostly sunny and continued cool, high in the low 60s.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.
Thursday – Partly sunny, high in the mid-upper 70s.
Friday – Mostly cloudy, high again in the mid-upper 70s.

Outlook – Sub-advisory conditions later Sunday though the mid-week period.

Sunny and warm Friday; Showers and thurderstorms on Saturday!


After having rain the last couple of days skies have cleared and temperatures today will reach near 80 degrees, so if you are able to take today off from work I would do that since tomorrow a cold front will be slowly moving across the area causing showers and thunderstorms starting after midnight tonight and lasting through the day into the evening.
It appears now that conditions will be better for Mother’s day with clearing skies.
Much cooler weather Monday and Tuesday but it will remain rain free, night time lows may dip down into the 30s on Monday night especially inland.
Temperatures will moderate by Wednesday but there may be some showers around.

The forecast: Today – Sunny this morning with increasing clouds this afternoon, warm with a high near 80.
Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms after midnight, low in the low 60s.
Saturday – Showers and thunderstorms during the day and at night, high in the mid 70s.
Sunday – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.
Monday – Mostly sunny and cool, high only around 60.
Tuesday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.
Wednesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high around 70.

More showers on Thursday; Warm Friday!


We will still have showers around today but not as widespread or heavy as yesterday morning’s downpour when nearly 2 inches of rain fell causing flooding for the morning commute. Today we are only expecting 1/4 inch of rain but higher in any thunderstorms, high temperatures will be around 70.
Drier air on Friday will give us a nice warm day with high temperatures approaching 80.
A slow moving cold front will cause more showers and thunderstorms in the area Friday night that will extend into most of Saturday.
Mother’s day looks rain free at the present time with seasonably mild temperatures.
Dry and cool for early next week with a warming trend starting next Wednesday.

Outlook: – Advisories may be needed for hazardous seas Friday night into Saturday then drop below advisory levels Sunday into early next week.

A rainy Wednesday!


Rain started in our area around 2:30am as a swath of precipitation is moving northwest into our area from the Atlantic ocean. Periods of rain will continue most of today with even a chance of a few rumbles of thunder, about 3/4″ of much needed rain is expected with some higher amounts. High temperatures today will be in the upper 60s.
The rain will become more showery in nature toward evening with still a chance of some thunder.
The upper low responsible for this rain will weaken on Thursday as it moves into our area, we still expect some shower and possibly a thunderstorm but it will be less ub amounts and coverage than today.
Friday will be a warm day as temperatures rise well up into the 70s but a cold front will be approaching from the west that could give us more showers later in the day and at night with even some strong thunderstorms.
Unsettled for the weekend with showers as the cold front will be slowly moving through the area, hopefully the rain could be out of here by Sunday afternoon.
Dry and cooler weather early next week.

One more dry day today: Needed rain on Wednesday!


It is a little milder this morning with temperatures around 50 in the Clifton area and 40s inland. We will squeeze one more dry day today with mild temperatures reaching the low 70s but again it will be cooler closer to the shore.
Much needed rain will move in before sunrise tomorrow and should continued into at least Wednesday night, about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch is expected.
Thursday will be mild with still a chance of showers.
Warmer on Friday but a cold front approaching may set off some showers and thunderstorms later Friday evening.
The front will be slow moving so the weekend’s weather is unsettled with high chance of showers each day.
Dry and cooler weather early next week.
