First heatwave of the year ending as approaching cold front will cause showers and thunderstorms later today!


Another warm overnight as temperatures again bottomed out around 70.
We will have early sunshine today but a cold front approaching from the west will cause a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon becoming more likely this evening and tonight, some of these storms could be strong with heavy rain and strong gusty winds.
Showers will persist on Monday as the front slides across the area.
Cooler and much drier Tuesday through Thursday.
Chances of rain increase for Friday into early next weekend as moisture approaches our area from the west and the south.

The forecast: Today – Increasing cloudiness with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1PM, high in the upper 80s
Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms likely, some heavy rain possible in storms, low in the mid 60s.
Monday – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, high near 80.
Tuesday – Sunny, high in the upper 70s.
Wednesday – Sunny, high in the mid 70s.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the low-mid 70s.
Friday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 70s.
Saturday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid-upper 70s.
