Skies are mostly clear at daybreak and temperatures have fallen into the teens in the Clifton area to some single digits inland.  Yesterday we received 8 inches of snow.

Today will be dry during the day with increasing cloudiness late in the day, temperatures will be seasonably cold.

Snow will develop around midnight tonight and likely mix or change to sleet and freezing rain, very difficult to pin down accumulations but at this time it appears in our area we will have at least 6 inches of snow followed by 1/4″ of ice so tomorrow morning’s commute will be quite hazardous.

Fair and cold weather Thursday and Friday.

Still another storm is expected to develop late in the weekend into Monday, still too early for details on how much snow but it could be significant.

And looking even further ahead we may have to deal with another winter storm around Valentine’s Day…  Sick of winter yet????

 

The forecast:  Today – Mostly sunny this morning, increasing clouds this afternoon, high in the mid 30s.

Tonight – Snow developing around midnight, accumulations 3-7 inches by morning, low in the upper 20s.

Wednesday – Snow mixing with and changing to sleet and freezing rain, additional accumulations of 1-3 inches possible, high in the low 30s.

Thursday – Mostly sunny, high near 30.

Friday – Partly sunny, high in the low 30s.

Saturday – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 30s.

Sunday – Cloudy with a good chance of snow developing, high in the low 30s.

Monday – Mostly cloudy with snow ending, high near 30.

 

Marine forecast: Today – North wind to 8 knots, seas 2 feet.

Outlook – Advisories may be needed on Wednesday otherwise expect sub-advisory level conditions through Saturday.
