One more warm day then big changes to our weather!

It is very mild this early morning for this time of year as the temperature only fell to around the 60 degree mark, skies are partly cloudy with a light southerly breeze.

It was a wonderful day yesterday weatherwise and for our family as Sullivan (future weatherperson) came into this world at 6:27am, the weather at that time was cloudy and a temperature of 48 degrees, after those clouds broke temperatures rose to almost record warm readings reaching the lower 80s.

Today will be continue to be quite warm for this time of year with highs reaching at least the upper 70s, skies will be partly sunny.

Tonight will be quite mild again but clouds will increase.

An impressive cold front will be approaching our area from the west with showers likely before daybreak tomorrow and become heavy at times during the day, winds will increase from the south.

The strong cold front will cross the area Tuesday evening with heavy rain showers, winds will become northerly after the frontal passage causing dramatically colder air to flow into our area.  The precipitation is likely to change to snow (yes snow!) before ending early on Wednesday morning, there should be no accumulation in our area but a coating of snow is possible across northwest New Jersey and the Poconos.

Clearing with much cooler weather on Wednesday, highs will have a hard time reaching the 50 degree mark.

Still cool and dry Thursday and Friday.

Saturday will be the next chance of showers that hopefully will end before daybreak on Easter Sunday, temperatures will only slowly moderate during this time frame.

The forecast: Today – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

Tonight – Becoming cloudy with rain showers likely before daybreak, low in the upper 50s.

Tuesday – Showers heavy at times and windy, high in the mid 60s

Tuesday night – Showers heavy at times changing to snow before ending before daybreak on Wednesday, windy and much colder, low around 30.

Wednesday – Sunny, high in only near 50.

Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

Friday – Partly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

Saturday – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 50s.

Easter Sunday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, high in the low 60s.

Marine forecast: Small craft advisory in effect for southerly winds up to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

Outlook – Gale watch for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, small craft advisories then likely through Friday.

Have a good day!
