Skies are mostly clear at daybreak this morning and temperatures are in the mid 60s, winds are light and the humidity is higher than the last few days.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine with temperatures reaching the upper 80s along with higher humidity.  There is a slight chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon mainly inland across Northwest New Jersey and the Hudson Valley.

Wednesday will be a hot and humid day and as a front approaches there is a chance of thunderstorms late in the afternoon, these storms will be more likely Wednesday evening and night with heavy downpours possible.

The front will cross the area Thursday morning with some showers persisting in the morning followed by clearing and less humid conditions in the afternoon.

Friday and Saturday will be very pleasant days with plenty of sunshine and low humidity.

Chances of showers increase for Sunday and Monday with temperatures at or slightly below normal.

No indication of any extended periods of heat for the next two weeks, much different than the last few summers.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mostly after 4pm, some heavy downpours possible, humid with high near 90.  Showers and thunderstorms likely in the evening and night with a continued threat of heavy downpours.

THURSDAY – Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning then partial clearing, cooler and less humid, high in the low 80s.

FRIDAY – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.
